Our family is concerned about bill payment practices at the Wealshire. I am a health care professional and this is a true and ongoing story. Since June 2014, the Wealshire administration has acknowledged--in writing--multiple times that they owe our family a refund of over $6000 for nursing home care previously provided to our elderly mother (now deceased). However, they have repeatedly failed to pay this debt to our family. Over the past year, my brother and I have had well over 30 email communications with Wealshire staff, including very high level administration, regarding this outstanding debt, without any success in receiving payment. The Wealshire's pattern of behavior is not to respond, or occasionally to respond and say they are sorry and will pay, but then never to send the check. This has happened multiple times, including most recently January 2015. The situation is very concerning as either the Wealshire cannot run their business effectively and pay a simple family refund, or they hope that over time our family will just give up and go away.



For these reasons, we want to share our experience with the Wealshire and offer a warning about their business and specifically debt payment practices. We have found that we cannot rely on the Wealshire to pay the debt they acknowledge they owe us.

I’m a health care provider for almost 40 years now and when the time came to place my mother in a care facility, my sister Karen and I chose the Ponds out of all the care facilities in Lake County. My mom had hip surgery last month & we choose this place for her to recuperate after the surgery. We have never seen such a wonderful place like this-a place we can call home away from home.She was here for almost a month and we were so happy with her improvement everyday.Everybody worked with her, made her feel comfortable & safe, and we have seen the caring , respect & extra attention they showed to my mom and our family.The nursing staff, physical & occupational therapists genuine compassion, professionalism,caring & excellence helped my mom w/ her fast recovery & regain a feeling of well-being everyday.The staff's devotion to their job was beyond what we expected.

The facility have a very high standard & they have created a place that exceeded its name w/ the staff's excellent tender,loving, care. This is a place I will highly recommend because of what my mom experienced.

I was admitted to the Wealshire back in May 2013 from Condell after a car accident I needed PT and rehab, I'm only 25 years old and being in an environment of a 5 star hotel cleared my fright of me ending up in a nursing home with older folks, and just seeing how everyone is so involved, striving to get me back on my feet was so fulfilling. I stayed at the unit of Coventry, And my morning nurse was usually Jasper. I must say that these people really do work as a team, and they treat their patients with professional care and respect. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place whether it's for rehab or for long term, look no further, these people will get you back on your feet.

After my aunts hip surgery, she went to the Wealshire for rehab about 4 months ago. The staff was much more accommodating for her needs then Whitehall where she stayed after her last surgery. Her visit set a new standard for our expectations in healthcare. The Wealshire felt more like a 5 star hotel than a nursing home.
