I have been privileged enough to have played Zager guitars. Great build and great tone. They ARE what they say they are! Beautiful hand crafted guitars that can run with and over the big boys you can really tell the difference. Don't cheat yourself and not try one of these I promise you this will be your go to guitar every time!

I received a ZAD50-OM yesterday and I can't say enough good things about Zager and the guitar. It arrived less than a week after I ordered it, in perfect condition in their ABS case and with a bunch of neat tchotchkes. Got it out of the case, tuned it a bit, and it's a great guitar. Very bright sounding, but nicely balanced and very comfortable to play. The joinery, inlay work and finish is flawless and yes, it does play easily. The neck is a nice compromise between a slim electric neck and a slightly wider acoustic one. And I know that the extra spacing between the strings is negligible, but it does make that little bit of difference. I've played "at" guitar for the past 60 or so years, mostly noodling with electrics - and between me and my kid - a 27 y.o. guitarist and instructor - there are probably 30 guitars in our house ranging from 30s-50s acoustics, 70s-2020s electrics from $300 - north of $10,000 ,and this is as nice as any of them. And the buying experience was terrific. I emailed probably half a dozen questions about the guitar, shipping and recommended accessories and I got prompt answers from Denny Jr. and the Zager staff for each question. I really can't say enough about how pleased I am with the guitar and the Zager team. Sorry to hear that Denny Sr. is retiring, but it is obvious to me that it's a well deserved one. I thought the name Zager sounded familiar - listened to "In the Year 2525" for an entire summer painting my uncle's house in 1969. Never had any idea I'd ever cross paths with Denny Zager. Very happy I did.

I received my 900 OM this week and it is stunning! When I first saw the guitar, I thought it was the most beautiful guitar I had ever seen, but the pictures do not even do it justice, it is more beautiful in real life. It plays great! My ZAD900CE Solid Spruce/Rosewood Acoustic Electric AURA Pro Series Black Lacquer Special Edition arrived today. Quite impressed with its shipping and packing. Originally the BLACK was not available in the to-end 900 series. WE had ordered the SUNBURST, however the Zager team was able to process the changes efficiently and although it took longer to receive this model (900), It was well worth the wait. Plays extremely well and will be a great addition to the collection. Not only is it sounding great it looks fantastic.
Ordering online is always a concern, but I have to say the Zager team stands the test of time.

I purchased my ZAD900CE in October 2023 and it is my go-to everyday guitar now, over my other acoustics (Ovation, Martin, Takamine). The playability is fantastic!

If I had this 50 years ago, I know that my playing would be MUCH better guitar player today. Why? It is extremely comfortable and my my fingers move much more easily across the fretboard, allowing me to fret, bend notes, hammer on and pull off and do faster licks and riffs. Oh, and it is great sounding, too! A real pleasure to play.

While the guitar is a joy for my 65 year old fingers and joints, I HIGHLY recommend that any new player get a Zager. I've owned a lot of guitars and played a lot more in my life and I will advise you to not be seduced to buy some "name brand" or very expensive guitar thinking it will make you a better player. Wow, I received my Zager ZAD20CE just before Christmas. What a beauty. Rich tones sing from this guitar. My wife and I have already discussed upgrading once I improve my guitar skills. I've had my ZAG900CE for almost a month now and could not be happier!! Spoiler alert: I sent back a Zag50ce and Zag80, but NOT because they were inferior. In fact, with each Zager model, I wondered if these are so fine, what would the Zag900ce be like? The honesty of the ZAGER return policy and generous upgrade offer, left me stunned! So this 75 year old geezer took the plunge. Nirvana rest on its stand just a couple feet away! However, as fine as that instrument is for playability, tone, appearance and overall ‘feel’, the Zager customer care experience, their patient helpfulness, generous solutions and always on tap responses, were an immense part of my decision and purchase. They really do truly care and stand by their promises. It was like having a personal, 24 hour, guitar store next door to me. I’ve had several highly respected brand name acoustics, my Zag900CE Aura is in a league of its own. My goal has always been to make my guitar sound good. This little miracle, makes ME sound good. And as Zager sales reminds, the sound will sweeten. It already has.

I have several acoustic guitars that I collect and play as a hobby and for my church. Most of them are around the $500-$1,000 Dollar range including a Guild, Alvarez, Takamine, Simon and Patrick, and two Martins. I got a Zager ZAD20 after being jealous of a good friend who got a ZAD80 a few months earlier. He loves his guitar, and I was very impressed. I wanted to get a ZAD20 but was hesitant to how it would compare with my other guitars around that price point. I finally got it and all I can say is “wow”! It plays and sounds nicer than all of my other guitars including my American Made Martin. I would highly recommend any Zager to anyone and will honestly say the two I have played sound and play way above their price point. Thank You Zager Guitars! I am a beginner guitar player and received the Zager 36" traveler acoustic/electric guitar as a Christmas present.

As a beginner, what do I know about the feel of a guitar or the playability?

Mostly nothing compared to a pro, however it wasn't a coincidence that I was able to sight read and actually play a song I could not on my electric.

My fingers effortlessly found the right strings and frets. I have a guitar that feels like it naturally belongs in my hands. I have not wanted to put it down for 2 days. It is that amazing to.play.

It is a real leap of faith to purchase a guitar online these days as every guitar company claims to have "the best" of their craft. The design of the Zager for playability claims are absolutely true. In fact, Zager guitars claim the 36" traveler model does not have big sound, well given the clarity, and richness of the tone on the guitar I have, I think you were being quite modest in the web claims for this guitar. It sounds great in just acoustic mode with no amp.

All in all, if you are a beginner I can tell you to purchase this guitar forthwith. The craftsmanship, thought in the packaging and accessories included is second to none.

You can tell this is a guitar designed and manufactured by true musicians. It's always the details that separate average items from true excellence.

For example, the built in tuner is a detail only a musician that has played live would think to include standard vs an investment banker running a guitar company who leaves it out to increase profitability vs playability.

Lastly, the finish on this guitar is heirloom quality, right out of the case. I know woodworking as a hobbyist and looked this guitar over and over for the slightest imperfection, and came up empty. It is absolutely perfect in fit and finish.

Recently received a new Zager Easy Play guitar. I've been playing guitar for quite a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I received was a gem of a guitar! Medium sized, dreadnought type body and great sound. I've played Martins and Taylors, and this guitar is right there with the best of them. A tremendous value and an extremely pleasurable guitar to play.

I just bought a ZAD20 it is beautiful and plays great better than my Takamine and the price was a lot better thanks ZAGER guitars

What a great company! I recently ordered a ZAD-900 guitar from Zager guitars. I have two friends who have purchased Zager guitars within the last year and were very happy with their guitars. When the guitar arrived there were a couple of cosmetic defects on the edge of the sound hole that I saw every time I played the guitar. I contacted Zager through the chat area on their website. In less than 30 minutes I was in contact with Emily, sent her pictures of the defects, and she offered several options to remedy the problem. One of which was a new guitar and that’s what I chose. Within an hour and a half of contacting Zager, a new guitar was being shipped out and I had the FedEx paperwork to return the original guitar. I have played solid body electrics all of my life. I found acoustics bulky and hard on the fingers. However, they have a sound you can't do without.
I purchased your Zager 50 OM cutaway and couldn't be happier.
The finish is too good (if there is such a thing). I am glad I bought the OM model as it fits like a glove.
The Easy Play neck and string setup is an understatement! I was able to play two hours right out of the case with no discomfort.
The guitar tunes and sounds beautiful.
The free gifts and price were a pleasant surprise!
I am as happy with this purchase as just about any item I have ever bought in my life.

I can not say enough about the quality, sound and playability of my Zager ZAD50E-OM. I am amazed at the rich sound that eminates from it. The guitar is flawless in every way. Kudos to the whole Zagar Guitar team.
