By far the worst lawyer I have ever worked with. If I could give him zero stars I would. When I contacted him the first time I thought he was to go to be true, I was right. The first time we went to court, he almost pled me into the wrong charges until the DA stepped in. We pled no contest. I was charged to the lesser crime, no thanks to him. Next time we went to court, same thing happened. He hadn't even read the report on me yet. Keep in mind I had been working with him for months. I was sentenced, and we walked out of the court. He told me I would be seeing some money back, which I had assumed, because we never talked. Even though I made more then a few attempts. So when I got the bill stating that I owed him a few hundred more dollars I was a little upset. He also charged me hundreds of dollars for phone calls and emails. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

When you are dealing with personal family issues and you pay an attorney allot of money you expect them to know what they are doing and the law pertaining to your case. Mr. Stephens didn't know much about family law many issues discussed with him just didn't make sense since I have gone through these issues before I knew a little how the law works. At times i felt I knew more than he did on family law. He filed the wrong type of papers, forgot to have a signed stipulation filed with the court. This delayed the process we were trying to get settled. almost 3 months had went by and nothing. I ended up terminating my contract with him and going to a different attorney. Even though Bruce Stevens knew his services were no longer needed and he made this aware in a letter.He then sent a letter after the fact asking if we had hired someone else? Well yes we told you that in and E-mail and by phone it just proved what we knew he doesn't know enough about his clients to keep track of their cases He is in Lincoln only 3 days a week so not always able to reach him. He shares office space with CADA and ASSOC. but please don't confuse them I've had very good experience with CADA.
