All the dogs i have seen are sick and not purebred like they claim to be

This pet adoption center is sad. There is no outdoor area for the dogs to run or play or go to the bathroom. Other than when customers come in to play with the dogs, they are locked up in their cages. However, when they do get to come out to play, the employees forcefully grab and yank the dogs out of their kennels. The dogs are very cute, yet are almost guaranteed to have health issues, such as the chihuahua my family purchased many years ago. Selling purebred puppies at a place like that means one thing, they’re from a puppy mill and will not live a good, healthy life regardless of what can be provided to them after adoption. There is no potty training at all at this facility and it should be shut down immediately.

We got our chocolate lab(Guinness) about 7months ago.It was a complete by chance situation too. We first went to the Lincoln human society to adopt, but when we got there they said they did not currently have any dogs for adoption (yay!) Good for them but sad for us. We were going to just wait, but as we were driving away my husband suggested we look at the pet doctor. We walked in and I fell in love with our guy. We got to play with him first, but I knew he was coming home with me. The sales lady was helpfull. She ddidn't really explain much to us, we just singed papers, but she did throw in a 16lbs of food a collar, leash and toy (which G-man picked out). I've since heard some interesting things about that place, but we have not experienced any. We received his papers in the mail, and he is very happy and healthy, from day one. I am very thankful for how that day played out, and can't imagine life without my Guinness!

This place buys their pets from puppy mills. If you support this place you support abject cruelty. Do not give them your business.

We bought a small boston terrier. She had a scarred eye but we were told that there vet said she could see out of it. Our vet looked at her and said no she could't. We called there vet and he told us that they told the store she wouldn't be able to see thru it. We love our little dog but now she needs surgery to repair a disfiqured hip. We got our papers, but it took weeks to get them. If anyone else has had troubles with Boston Terriers please post it They need to be held accountable. We give them the one star only because we did get a very loving puppy.. Brad Neb City

Please do not buy puppies from this business! This place is nothing more than an outlet for the puppy mill industry. While their web site spins a feel-good family business behind the door is a dirty shamefull un-humane group of people ingaged in the very greedy business of dog breeding. Check out puppy mills on line.

Terrible Business. Do not go there for your puppies. I bought a puggle 2 years ago and was heart broken when the puppy wouldn't stop crying. She was supposedly "approved" by their vet; however, when I took her to a more reputable clinic in Lincoln, they found that she had fleas and ear mites. The vet explained that it is extremely rare for puppies to get these two conditions unless the mother was equally sick. When I told the people who work at the Pet Doctor of the situation they seem disgruntled, but unsurprised. They quickly refunded me my money and had me leave before showing any of the present customers my concerns. I would never suggest this location to anyone. I'm surprised that it is still operating. I regret not calling animal control and requesting an investigation.

Don't stop in if you're in a hurry. I walked into the store this morning and noticed the employee behind the counter, on the phone, eyes looking down. There was another couple in there looking at things and two others looking at the pets. I waited in front of the counter for over 5 minutes but the employee never acknowledged me nor did she say she'd be with me soon, she continued with her phone call. In retrospect this was probably a good thing for me. I was interested in purchasing a puppy but after reading the negative reviews I'm kind of glad this clerk did me a favor by ignoring me.

I had bought a carrine terrier at the end of July, it is currently mid-way through November and I still have not received the papers to prove that she is a pure breed. I have called numerous times and they always tell me the papers will be in within a week. I have even gone in, in person, to retreive the papers, but they were not available. I would highly recommend avoiding business with Pet Doctor
