I have never been treated so unprofessionally in my life!



Recently, I had my home appraised by Melanie Granteer. I made my first appointment, which she didn't show up for. She finally called at my appointment time to tell me that my lender hadn't sent her a check yet, so she wouldn't be out to look at my house. I was very upset that she didn't give me any notice, plus I had found out from my lender that they went above and beyond to pay her in advance and were over-nighting her a check and even gave her a UPS tracking number.



Then, she finally came to do the appraisal and instead of giving us a value she sent an incomplete report because we were repairing our master shower. I asked why she couldn't have given an estimate with it the way it was since we knew it would be more later and she refused, even though it was her job.



Then, because the lender required us to use the same appraiser (since she didn't finish it) I had to setup another appointment with her once the shower was repaired. She didn't show up again! This time she blatantly lied and said she wasn't told to come out even though I have it in writing from the lender that she agreed to the appointment time. Again, the issue was she didn't receive her check in the mail in advance.



The lender even said that they had never worked with anyone so difficult, nor someone that would not do the work before getting paid!



She was horrible and as you can see, a liar! She caused our closing date to push out by two weeks because of her cancellations among other things.



She is awful and I will be reporting her to the state as well. Especially, since her company appraised the same house last year for $17,000 more than this time around.
