This is the only high end tack shop (that I know of) in Columbus, Oh area. A beautiful store with lovely and helpful staff that really want to sell you stuff. The back clearance/used section can be awesome, but you have to check often.

Why only 2 stars? I feel weirdly manipulated after every visit. I rarely find what I've come in for, but am often sold other things I don't need or love. The bonus bucks they send in the mail aren't real and the mysterious online bucks seem to evaporate or aren't available for what I buy. Things that are "Probably 40% off" are not (at least in my case). I am never given a total at the register and always have to ask. I am often lied to about "sale" pricing in the most casual way, "Oh, I'm sure those were marked down" while putting the receipt deep into the bag. And No, they were actually full price, as was everything I purchased at the 40% sale... My last visit I had a birthday coupon and the sales girl said, "Ohhhh, but don't you want to save that for your NEXT visit?" Really, No. I want to use it toward my current, nothing-actually-on-sale purchase (before it too expires).

I am ALL IN for supporting local business, and generally I will pay a little more for a great experience, but it doesn't feel good to be taken advantage of. After asking around the barn, I got the same feedback from everyone; 1. Visit with caution or avoid altogether. 2. Do your research and purchase online from retailers with excellent return policies instead. Sorry.
