I have used this office for myself and my children. I was charged for the same exact service 8 months apart because they failed to check the records. The only reason I was made aware of this was because my insurance refused to pay their claim. They did a customer courtesy for the insurance portion, but failed to offer my co payment back until I asked for it. I asked the same day they were preforming work on one of my children. I went to pay for that work, and the bill was more than the estimate of charges I started out with. They decided to do something different but choose not to let me know until I was ready to pay. The final straw was about 6 months later they said the same child that had the original work needed more work. They ONLY use white fillings regardless of the tooth (baby, front, back), which our insurance company does not cover. I then decided to get a second opinion, before anymore work would be completed. I visited the Children's dentist in Alexandria (recommended) and was informed that one of the teeth they wanted to put a crown on DID NOT have an issue at all. ( It was a shadow in the xray) My son did receive a new silver filling in his back baby tooth, which my insurance company does cover. He also had an extra tooth pulled that we were informed years ago would probably need to be pulled. (I was informed at West LA Dental by a hygienist..don't worry about it. Another reason for a second opinion)



On top of all this the dentist at West LA Dental Center DID NOT even talk to me about my children's teeth. I never saw him this last visit at all. My kids attempted to relay the information, to not avail. (6 yr old and 9 yr old)



If you care about patient care, find another dentist FAST.
