Schuylkill Valley Middle School has approximately 465 students, over 30 teachers and nearly 20 support staff members. It serves students in grades six through eight. The school offers academic programs in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and physical education. Schuylkill Valley Middle School additionally conducts classes in art, computer technology, foreign languages, and family and consumer science. It has an athletics department that offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, wrestling, soccer, badminton and swimming. The school supports a student council and art, band, chorus, weightlifting, chess, bowling, dodge ball, ecology, water polo, ski, snowboard, television, world cultures and newspaper clubs. Schuylkill Valley Middle School s library offers an accelerated reader program that encourages students to read books. It is located in Leesport, Pa., and is a part of the Schuylkill Valley School District.
