This doctor either does not listen to complaints or just plain doesn't know what he's doing. He sent my father for various meaningless tests every two weeks to find out why he was having arm pain. My father did his research on the internet to find out the pain could be caused by a heart ailment and requested that a nuclear stress test be ordered. Ten days after the test (after hearing nothing from the doctor), my father had another appointment. Low and behold, when the doctor finally read the report, he immediately called a cardiologist to see my father the next day for a catherization. Didn't happen though, there was too much blockage and my father had a quadruple bypass the following day. This was bad enough, but after my father got out of the hospital, he had extreme back pain. When he advised this doctor during a follow-up appointment, the doctor's response was "Don't worry about it". A month later, after going to physical therapy and taking pain medication that did nothing to relieve the pain, my father was sent to a pain management doctor. Thank goodness for her. She wouldn't treat my father without knowing what the problem was. She ordered an MRI. Two days later, my father had a follow-up appointment again with Dr. Gupta and told him of the MRI. The doctor called for the results and proceeded to tell my father that it looked like he may have bone cancer and ordered a PET scan. But, remember, "Don't worry about it". This incompetent doctor also employs an incompetent staff. After my mother was told they would get a call with the results the next day, she had to leave two messages and by her third call, was told the office was closed (at approx. 2:00). When a nurse called my father back at 6:30, she told him they didn't have the results and that the doctor would review them at his next appointment, which, by the way is in a MONTH! My father told her this was unacceptable and that he wanted to know now what was going on. The nurse advised that she would have the doctor call him. Of course, they still haven't heard from him. The competence and compassion of the doctor and his staff are non-existent. Hope to God they never have to live though this with a member of any of their families.
