30 years of growth in 4 years!

What began as a quest to selfishly change my wife and to better our relationship... instead, led to a steep inward dive into my pool of EMOTIONS - the ones that had been blinded by LOGIC, FEAR and everyday SURVIVAL.

"Feel to heal...." is the motto here and no pointing the finger. It's all about building a relationship with myself and then sharing that with the world.

The storm has quieted, the waters are calm.... I feel a greater sense of inner peace and my marriage is finally blossoming like a spring flower.

"What's your true North?", Dr. Leymaster will ask.

Enjoy the journey!!!

Thanks.

In the past 18 years, I have worked with several counselors as I worked through the issues in my life...but I have found Dr. Leymaster to be unique. He is direct and candid, but at the same time, he is compassionate and "gets me." There have been times when I have been angry at him, but I realized later it was because he was challenging me to move into a new place where I didn't even know I needed to go. His depth and breadth of experience enable him to help one navigate pretty much any life situation that comes along and that has steadied me at those times when I felt myself unsure. The most important thing anyone should know about him is that what he does is not just a job to him...it is his life's great passion and after working with him, you sense it. He just genuinely wants to help people...and that's what it's all about.

Have you ever heard the old saying, "If you continue to repeat what you have always done, you will always get what you have always gotten?" Frustrating isn't it? If you want to break old patterns that are not working for you, then you will have to do something different in order to make real change. That is what therapy is all about, to help get to the core of those old patterns so that real life change can take place.  That is our goal: To help people make real life changes that lead to a more fulfilling life that all people deserve.  Lee's Summit Marriage & Family Center is dedicated to helping couples, families, individuals, children and adolescents to live a healthier, happier, and more fulfilling life.
