Provided by YP.comI have eaten at SUSHI MAX several times and just can not get enough! All fish and fish eggs are top notch; VERY FRESH and expertly prepared. Service is the best I have experienced in many years. Sushi Max is a small "Mom & Pop" restaurant and not too fancy. Selection is somewhat limited but prices are excellent. The store is ultra clean and high standards are obvious in every part of the business. I am honored to share my experience with anyone who knows fine sushi, nigiri and sashimi. Everyone I have recommended this restaurant to that has eaten there thanked me for letting them in on one of the best-kept secrets in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Provided by YP.comPlease do NOT go here. Maybe the place used to be good when it first opened, but it literally made me physically ill.
I recently moved here from San Francisco, so of course I have been spoiled by having the best and freshest sushi available. I hesitated trying anything local here for that reason. My boyfriend and I did some research and saw all the glowing reviews for Sushi Max( I didnt notice how old the reviews were)
This place served me the WORST sushi I have ever eaten. Worse by far than anything even a grocery store would give you. I had to fight the urge to spit it out at the table, which I now wish I had even though its terrible manners, since I have been violently ill since I've gotten home. The sashimi was room temperature, slimey, and had a sour taste to it that immediately turned my stomach. We then were served the rolls we ordered, and hoped that perhaps these were the items people raved about, out of the 4 we ordered, only 1 was tolerable, and that was the spicey shrimp tempura, but then we noticed the shrimp had not been de-veined :((((
I hate to be negative, and I never write a review if I just dont care for something. I am concerned that they will cause real harm to people, other than the food poisoning I am experiencing now.
I would give 0 stars if I could.

Provided by YP.comComing back to the States after living in Japan for 3 years it was refreshing and surprising to find such a good sushi restaurant in Lebanon, TN. Excellent service. Great food. I rated it 4 out of 5 stars because I only wish they had a bigger selection of not only sushi but if traditional Japanese appitizers like yakisoba.
