I had something similar happen. I missed a phone interview because I had to leave to pick my son up because he got hurt at school in gym class. They told me I wouldn't be considered for a position with them again. I saw your review pop up and just wanted to tell you to let your sister know that she isn't the only one on their blacklist. As I see it, it's their loss. I would have made a great employee. Life and emergencies happen if they can't adjust their policy to account for that, then it's obvious that they do not care about people.

My sister applied for a job with them online. They called her and arranged for a telephone interview. The night before the interview, she had a miscarriage and was rushed to the hospital. She had to stay in for 3 days because she had a D & C. When she returned home, she called them to explain why she wasn't home for the interview. They thought she was lying. The woman accused her of it and told her they would blacklist her and she would never be able to get a job there. After several months of searching not finding anything for work, my sister feels they must have spread rumors about her around town. I bet they fire people and blacklist them if they call in sick or have a sick child.

I would not suggest people with obvious disabilities apply here. They'll act all nice on the phone after you send them a resume, telling you you are a good fit, then when you go into the office, they'll tell you the position is filled (eventhough it isn') and show you the door. I personally knew a couple of people who worked at the company they told me the position was filled at, so I called and checked with the boss there - the position is still open :{
