Our museum has a 1913 wooden carousel, built here in Leavenworth, for kids of all ages to ride.  There is no charge to look around our Gift Shop or watch the 1913 carousel in operation.  We offer guided tours of the carousel museum, which covers two floors, with artifacts from local and other U.S. manufacturers.  Our museum has several rooms available for parties, receptions, reunions, meetings, and other events.  Rooms are available during normal business hours, as well as after hours; carousel rides are available for for these events.

Puts a Smile on Every Face

This is the place for all tastes and ages. There is history, art, mathematics, romance, determination, education, and FUN. There are 3 carousels; a wooden 1913, and aluminum 1950 and a primitave wood one from the 1850's era. Two of the three are rideable.

The museum has memoriabilia from the heyday of carousels and lots of personal items from C.W. Parker the famous carousel maker from the early 1900's who lived and worked right her in Leavenworth.

The fron of the building overlooks the oldest train station on the Missouri (now the Riverfront Community Center) and the Missouri River Walk. Inside you will fid a gift shop, the National Carousel Archives, a museum, several rooms to rent (parties, receptions, weddings, Children's Birthday, etc.), a kitchen, a Workshop where carousel horses are repaired and refurbished (while you watch), and most importantly, SMILES, SMILES and more SMILES.

The cost is only $5 for adults, $3 for kids. Extra carousel ride tickets are 6 for $5. The perfect place to take those young ones for wholesome entertainment and education all for one little price. The allure of a carousel never gets old, and no on is too old to enjoy it!

We appreciate Donna's comments about the museum and hope everyone will come visit us. We would, however, like to point out a couple of changes. There is no admission charge to come to the museum. There is a guided tour available which is $6 per adult and $3 per child, each tour includes a ride on our 1913 carousel. Individual ride tickets are $1.25 each. We invite everyone to come visit us at the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum!
