Went in for a safety and emissions test. Was told the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Knew the brakes were due but rotors? To look at them they are very smooth as well to the touch. Left and did the brakes. Returned to have it passed off and they got very annoyed when they looked at it and the rotors hadn't been done. We told them that they were fine. He got really annoyed and said they would have to pull it in and actually check it. They made us wait while others were helped after us. (While waiting someone else came in and was complaining that they had put back on the wrong lug nut and stripped one of his posts. They said to him that sometimes the lug nuts are dropped and kicked and can't be found. Wow.) When they did get it in the tech measured it three times and looked it up on the computer. You could tell he was confused by why it hadn't passed. Normal for my vehicle is .354 and it measured .345. Very little wear. If I hadn't known better I would have spent at least $200 in unneeded repairs. Their attitude was poor. Not the best way to run a business.

We have trusted Lynn Wood to take care of our cars for years. They are always reasonably priced and honest with us. They don't do work that it doesn't need and suggest alternatives when possible. Sometimes I will call around for prices and I always find that they are reasonably priced. They are awesome!

I have been a customer of LYNN WOOD'S since they opened their doors over 50 years ago. I have always been treated very good and at times they have went beyond what they needed to. I have nothing but praise the owner and all of his staff.

We took our vehicle in a couple months back for a repair and we told them we thought it was a problem that would cost $200plus they came back and said that we were wrong and fixed it even though the part that needed replaced was discontinued! only charged us $20! Great service!

Lynn Woods Service center has consistently and repeatedly repaired, maintained and serviced our families and extended families vehicles and boats. They are professional, courteous, efficient and very HONEST and helpful. I cannot say enough about their quality work. I have no idea how anyone could be dissatisfied with their service in any way unless they possessed an unreasonable and unpleasable nature. Both Jeremy and Dallas, and any other staff that I have interacted with have always done everything in their power to resolve and answer questions, explain and offer options as well as deliver on their promises. I have taken all five of my vehicles to Lynn Wood in Layton for the past eight years. Their superior service and professionalism is beyond reproach. Never have I had an issue with front desk individual's demeanor or with any of the mechanics that work in the numerous bays at Lynn Wood. When I had an issue in the past with a window motor that would not work in my Windstar, Lynn Wood purchased a second new motor directly from Ford and did not charge me for the motor. I cannot say enough how their performance is second to none. On another occastion, I needed four tires rather quickly for my Wells Cargo trailer. Lynn Wood took the old tires off the wheels, acquired new tires, mounted them, and had the set of four back to me in less than 24 hours. I have full faith in everything that this service station provides. This is the RIGHT kind of neighborhood service that deserves to service the entire Layton City community. My hat is off to the owner and every employee at Lynn Wood. Thank you!

Lynn Wood's mechanics figured out a problem with my starter when 3 other service shops could not. Jeremy is our favorite mechanic in the Layton center. He does a fantastic job with our cars. He knows me on sight (not sure if this is due to his great customer service skills or because my car had a lot of problems at one point). He also guided his fellow mechanics at that location in fixing my sister-in-law's car at one time. He is excellent!

I took my car here a couple of months ago to get an oil leak fixed and have them change my timing belt. I got the car back and it seemed fine until late one night it died on my way home. Turns out they don't know how to put a crank shaft pulley back on correctly and they did not line up the keyhole. When they finally admitted they had screwed it up and "fixed" the car I got it back and now anti-freeze is leaking all over the place. Worst customer service.. the front desk guy was an absolute jerk to me until I took my dad in to back me up! So I do not recommend ever going to this repair shop.. you will be sorry!
