i bought a cocker spaniel a little over a month ago from here. i love my dog, he is such a sweetheart and healthy and happy but i am hurt at being misled about the financing we did. i foolishly signed it because i fell in love with the puppy. a few days later i find out its not financing at all but a lease. if id have known i was leasing id have not signed anything. i ended up owing way more than what i was supposed to owe. i ended up taking a loan out from my bank to pay off my early payout. my 1,999 dog ended up costing me 4,292. but would have cost me 5568 dollars if i stayed in the lease. so please know if you ever go in there and they mention finance, its actually leasing a dog for so many months with a final buy out price at the end of your lease. i just hope the owner is unaware of it being that and not knowingly hurting customers. since shes a christian woman.
im contacting the attorney general of georgia on monday and going to get the ball rolling on making them aware of pet leasing scams and try to ban it in georgia like a few other states have done thus far. i am happy with my dog, hes precious, but this whole experience put a damper on the being a new dog parent.
please dont get tricked into leasing an animal.

Came in a few times to look at a American Eskimo . Received a call that our future baby had dropped in price and availabile . We asked to put a deposit on or the phone since we live a hour away and the store was closing in 30 mins not to mention at work on 3rd shift .she stated they do not do that over the phone and they would hold him for us tomorrow. We drive a hr with no sleep (work 3rd) to come in at store opening like they told us to to buy what was suppose to be our dog just to be told that he was sold last night . We would of appreciated a call stating he wasn't held and sold instead of finding out the next day and waisting alot of our time and energy and also why call us saying u will hold him for us because we showed so much interest just to sell him 30 mins later. Will not be returning. We had already bought dog food ,toys, and leash for him because we where told he would be there for just us. Just Heart breaking....

Do not use this company! They are predatory lenders and take advantage of the unsuspecting. I have just learned that they charged a friend nearly $5000 in interest for a mutt! Please Adopt. Don’t shop with this company.

Happy to have found a loving, caring, and trustworthy breeder. Sure beats places like Petland that deal with puppy mills and overcharge for a mixed breed.

I was able to show up at this store and spend time with several puppies before making a decision. The puppies here were cheaper than the other puppy stores I drove to. I knew the type of dog that I wanted. I spent months looking in shelters and dealing with online classified scams before I decided to go to a puppy store. I found the dog I had been looking for and was able to make a purchase far below the prices I found in Dunwoody at Petland. Could not have been happier with my experience

The old store was nice but the new store so much better. My family has purchased 2 chihuahuas from Darlene and she has been great. I recommend Puppies Galore to anyone looking for a new addition to your family.

This store was wonderful. I bought my little morkie from the store and she is the love of our lives. She was, and still is, the picture of health when we brought her home and was amazingly easy to train. The store was very clean and the puppies were all out playing with one another. They had toys to play with, fresh water with them, and soft towels to lay on. It had a slight odor but it wasn't bad at all. I mean it's a puppy store, what do you expect? The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with any training we needed after taking our puppy home.

I bring my morkie and my old blind shih-tzu in for grooming there now, and the groomers do an excellent job. The prices are fair and so much cheaper than the old groomer we used to take my shih-tzu to. I'm not sure where the negative comments are coming from, because every time I go, the quality of the store and service there is consistent , professional and well maintained.

Puppies galore is my go to puppy place for all of my puppy needs. I highly recommend this store if you want a happy and healthy puppy to take home, or a professional grooming done on your dog.

I have no idea where all of the negative reviews come from or why. I just brought my old, semi-blind, toy poodle to Puppies Galore for grooming. I was a little apprehensive, due to the things I read, but it was close and the price was definitely right.



First off, the place was extremely clean and the puppies were interacting with each other not in cages with wood shavings that mask odors. There was no urine or excrement in with them, so they must be cleaned constantly. There was a faint odor, but what can you expect when you have a bunch of puppies?! I have been a nurse for 25 years, so I know what clean is!

I sadly agree with the negative comments I've read on this page. My husband and I went to this location today looking for a yorkie puppy. The shop smelled horrible and we were there for probably 15 minutes before anyone greeted us. Darlene told me that she didn't have any yorkie puppies now but she would have some come in in about a week. I've always been suspicious about these puppy stores but I thought we could check this one out and see what they had to offer. We adopted out first yorkie from a rescue and we thought she could use a friend. So I went home to do some research about this place before coming back next week. I'm glad I read these reviews and it seems Darlene is more concerned with arguing with customers on this site instead of fixing the problem. After all if it wasn't for your customers you wouldn't have a business. I definitely will not be back and I will keep looking for a family breeder for my next puppy.

Brought my dog in for grooming and she didn't even look like she was groomed. Her haircut was scraggly, and uneven.The price was a few dollars cheaper than my usual place but now she needs to be groomed again! A week later she starts coughing and has a runny nose. I brought her to the vet and the Dr. says most likely she caught something, Kennel Cough, most likely from Puppies Galore because that is the only place she had contact with other pets. I should have known that any place that sells puppies would be disgusting, but I thought I'd give them a try.

I would agree wholeheartedly with the last review. I have been in this store two times and each time the smell ran me out. The owner was not friendly and the place smelled like it needed to be closed down. I have been in plenty other pet stores and none of them smelled anywhere close to Puppies Galore. How do other pet stores manage to keep it smelling decent? Would not recommend. After feeding is no excuse.

Run away and withold your pocket book. If you are lucky the stench would be all you experience from this store. Yes, I was in the one in Lawrenceville and the smell was so "loud" that I felt sick. I have been in many a pound and pet store in my lifetime and I have never smelled a smell like this.

The owner, Darlene is very knowledgeable about dogs and dog care, however, some of the stuff she recommended didn't quite add up. (i.e Our dog was currently in a crate, yet she said don't crate train her). Also, we took our brand new puppy to the vet immediately afterwards and he had kennel cough and an ear infection. The vet told us the cough most likely developed from our puppy being surrounded by so many dogs, and the ear infection from improper grooming. On the positive side, the dogs there are very cute and playful. Overall, my family is glad we bought our dog here. Since she was from a pet store, she was used to being picked up and played with, and is therefore not skittish. Yes, the dogs are overpriced, but that's what you get for going to a pet store. Just do your research before you buy a dog from here, or anywhere for that matter.

I love puppies galore. It's an amasing place. The staff is knowledgeable and very kind and their love of pupies show! I had a great time!

Puppies Galore is a wonderful place for puppies. They are like family to me. I got a lot of my beautiful puppies from them and will awlays keep coming back! So if you need a new family member, Puppies Galore is the place to go.
