Founded in 1935, Central Catholic High School serves more than 1,150 students in grades nine through 12. It runs a variety of departments, such as world languages, social studies, science, English and religious studies. The school s religious studies curriculum informs students about Catholic history and traditions. Central Catholic High School s world languages department conducts classes in French and Spanish. In addition, the school runs visual and performing arts and health and physical education departments. Central Catholic High School s library maintains a collection of approximately 10,000 print volumes and over 70 magazine subscriptions. The school is located in Lawrence, Mass., Central Catholic High School is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
