We just had our 15 year old dog euthanized. Dr. Judy was so sweet and heartfelt just as the rest of the staff. Also they sent a sympathy card and a poem with his paw print - this was the nicest gesture in our time of grieving.

Fantastic vet! The staff is very well trained and courteous. I've never had a problem with them personally, but I imagine, as in any public relation field, there may be disagreements/ misunderstandings. I've witnessed an angry client in this clinic and the staff handled them very professionally. The office is always clean and smells good. Patient care is always fantastic also. They take the time to make sure they ensure their safety and for me and my pet. I love this vet, Drs Helman and Kontir are wonderful. I recommend them to everyone in the area. Two thumbs WAY up!!

Glad you all love this vet, but he gave my cat Convenia without doing a complete history. My cat has had many upper respiratory infections and this long-acting antibiotic is contra indicated for any cats with that history! My cat is not difficult to medicate, so there was no reason to give him a drug for convenience (hence the name Convenia). He is having a severe reation and there is nothing we can do about it!!!!! The drug will remain in his system more than 60 days. This "great" vet may have killed my baby! BEWATE!

DR JOE RETIRED AND THIS CLINIC ACTUALLY DOESN'T HAVE WALK IN HOURS ANYMORE. THAT'S OK THOUGH, THE NEW DOCTOR (HELMAN) IS AMAZING AND WILL DO ANYTHING WITHIN MEANS TO HELP YOUR PET. JUST LIKE HE DID FOR OUR BUDDY. HE'S THE BEST AND I'LL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE

My dad took his 5 month old Boxer to see Dr. Ben when he became very sick. The other offices wants us to wait for a few days until they had an opening, Dr. Ben took him that same day, The entire staff was very nice and they did everything they could to help Bumblebee. After we had to have him put down, Dr. Ben sent us a card with a beautiful poem about a puppy that goes to heaven. It touched our hearts that the staff cared so much even after his passing. I will never take my dogs to anyone else. Dr. Ben and his staff are the best around.

Dr. Ben Helman is such a wonderful vet!! We're new to the area and our cat, Krystal who's health has been going down hill, she was a diabetic and didn't handle insulin well. A few days after she had quit eating and started rejecting the force feeding we decided it was time to make that dreaded appt. They got her in the same day and Dr. Ben was so caring. He kept petting her and calling her a good girl, we just really appreciate him taking so much care with Krystal. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ben, he truly cares for animals. He will be the only one we take our pets too!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this vet! We heard Dr. Joe was great, but when we called we found out Dr. Joe had recently retired and DR. BEN HELMAN, DVM JUST BOUGHT THIS PRACTICE. We love Dr. Helman's gentle spirit, his caring, his willingness to go the extra mile, and his knowledge. We had been LOOKING for him ever since he left the vet we used to use, a few weeks ago, but had no idea where he had gone (the old vet would not tell us.) We HIGHLY recommend ANYONE looking for the BEST veterinary care see Dr. Helman. He is located directly across from the airport intersection at the corner of Rts 30 & 981 in Latrobe. Yay!

very happy with service at his office. my 10 yr old lab had a huge benign tumor on his front leg, and i was told by one vet it was too large to remove and was referred to A Vets in monroeville, who gave me a price of 2200!! i called dr joe's office and had an appt 2 days later and the surgery sched for 3 days later! plus he only charged 800 and did a great job! very happy with his office! would recommend to everyone!

I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Joe for the past 13 years. He provides excellent care and will actually direct you to what is best for your pets not his pocket book unlike some of the other vet clinics.

My entire family has been taking their pets to Dr. Joe for many years and would HIGHLY recommend him. He's very friendly (my kids love him too!) as is the staff, and they really work with your schedule to fit appointments in. Dr. Joe is just wonderful with animals, I can't count how many times my cats have scratched him bloody and he never even flinches. I've been with many vets before him, but none since! I would not take my pets anywhere but to him!

I have been taking my 10 yr old Golden there for years. Absolute wonderful Vet! Pleasant Staff. Very reasonable prices and a less invasive approach first before administering a more aggressive (and potentially expensive) treatment plan. Very good interaction with the animals. You can tell he genuinely enjoys them. Always willing to answer questions over the phone. Always has the flea/heartworm medications I use. I would recommend Dr. "Joe" to anyone for their beloved furry family members.
