Let me start off by saying that I had the worst experience here. Here we go...yesterday July 26th 2014 I came into Vanity Nails to get a pedicure. The chubby Asian with the glasses (nice guy) actually did a good job. However as my toes were drying the young Asian girl as the front (bleached blonde hair), came to me and asked for for payment, so I handed her my debit card (I don't carry cash with me). I then walked up to the front desk a minute later and waited for them to run my card. After 10 minutes they informed me that their wifi was down so their machine wasn't working. One of the guys (the guy who ended up harassing me later on, and I can only assume he was the owner) asked me if I could get some cash from the liquor store (which was close to the Nail salon). I said

"Ok" and then started walking over there. Now the interesting thing here is that the guy held my debit card and wouldn't even give it to me until we were in the liquor store. I then asked the guy who worked at the liquor store for cash (he said yes but that there would be a 3$ charge) which I said yes to. The guy who worked at the liquor store then asked if the nail guy was bothering me (I didn't say anything to this but I didn't know how far the nail guy was going to go at this point). The liquor store guy couldn't run my card either ( I had $900 dollars in my checking account so I knew that there was plenty of money). So I then walked over to the clothing store ( the nail guy followed me there too) that is next door to the salon and try and see if I can get cash from them. Their machine wasn't working either for the same reason, the wifi in that area had gone down. So that's when the nail guys suggests that I run to the bank and grab cash. I said "ok" and then head toward my car in the parking lot. The guy then follows me to my car and tells me that I have to give him my phone to ensure that I'd be back with the money. Uhmmm no, why would I give him my phone? That is my personal property and if there was an emergency or an accident I would need my phone (plus my iPhone has a far greater value than a 25$ pedicure). I informed the guy that I would be back with the money, but that he couldn't have my phone and I then started my car and shut the door. He then opens my car door and physically wouldn't let me shut it until I gave him my phone. Now that is when I should have called the police, at the moment though I was just in complete shock. Thinking about it later the guy could have just taken a picture of my license if he was soo worried that I wasn't going to be back, but he had NO right to physically harass me. I ended up giving him my phone though (I really shouldn't have) and I ran and got some cash, then went back to the place and got my phone back. Anyways this whole situation was an absolute nightmare and I recommend that everyone in their right mind stay away from the Vanity Nail salon.
