Horrible. Never called us with information about the part! Took their time and we were without hot water for 6 days before we called another company and got it done in an hour! Supposedly, company is 24 hours day/night but never got back to me! Worthless company! Referred by American Home Shield-not getting my $75 service fee back!

As a homeowner and consumer advocate with over 40 years of plumbers experiences in 3 states, I rate my 11/4/2015 experience with Union Plumbing as one of the BEST. Bought a gas Rheem water heater from Home Depot 7/1/2014. On 10/29/2015, no hot water. Phoned Rheem's 800# and spent 38 minutes with tech trying to restart it but pilot would not light. Tech "said" he was ordering a new control module that I would receive at my home by next day air. Within 2 hours, received call from Union Plumbing to schedule the service call but I said I was waiting for the part and would call back to schedule. No part arrived the next day so I phoned Rheem to get the tracking #. After over 15 minutes on hold listening to elevator music, operator apologized and said initial tech did not order the part, which she then ordered. I phoned Rheem on 11/2/2015 and obtained FedEx tracking # so I then phoned Union to schedule service for 11/4/2015 and was told tech would arrive between noon and 4PM. Ian Hickman phoned me 20 minutes before he arrived at 2:30PM. I watched Ian drain the tank and install the new Honeywell WV8840C1605. During the process Ian educated me on the fact that many of these Honeywell parts are failing and being replaced in Rheem and AO Smith water heaters due to coating on the probe and faulty circuit board. The new part has improved stainless steel probe, circuit board and even a nice blue indicator light replacing the orange one. One hour later I could hear and see my water heater doing it's job. Having renovated my home and replaced Kitec fittings over the past 2 years, I've experienced 5 different plumbing companies in Nevada. Thank you Ian and Union Plumbing for a first class experience!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! I am warning you because you will have a similar experience. I ordered through Sears and found out that the installation is discounted vs what they normally charge for service/install. They don't show up on time they and they make up excuses to add extra things to your bill. If you have a problem the girl at the office doesn't even know how to operate a phone, be prepared to hear "There's no one there!" and get hung up on wait on hold, and hung up on again every time you try to call. Then if they mess something up you will have to reschedule. I ordered a week ago it's the first time they came out they made excuses why they couldn't install, no sears is refusing to release anything to them. Now I have to reorder and will end up with the same trouble again if I do. Con-artist scam ripoffs! You have been warned!

DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO T...

DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS COMPANY!

My home protection plan, AHS, has a contract with only this plumber in LV. So, when my water heater broke last month, I had to use them. These are the three problems I had:

1. Upon doing the required modifications to the pipes running into my house, neither was sealed properly. Four hours after the work was completed, I came home to one pipe leaking down my garage drywall, while the other was outwardly spraying on my garage drywall. So they didn't properly seal either pipe. When I called the company around 4:00 PM, they wanted to put off the repairs for another day. I insisted someone come out to fix it that day. They relented and sent someone. In their defense, they did send a handyman to repair my garage wall, but only after I asked for them to restore it to the condition they found it. They only offered to make it right upon my insistence they did so.

2. They completely overcharged me. Even though I had AHS coverage, Union Plumbing charged me an additional $625 to install my water heater ON TOP of the $75 deductible I paid. They wanted to charge $675 but I "negotiated" $50 off the price. The charges were as follows: $175 permit fee (City of Henderson charge is $41 = 326% markup), $120 T & P modification ($32 is the average on the internet = 275% markup), $120 earthquake straps ($30 online = 300% markup), $10 disposal fee, $115 gas sediment trap ($39 is the average on the internet = 194% markup) and $95 vent modification ($40 is the average on the internet = 138% markup). This company is ridiculous in their fees. If I had been able to use a different plumber and use my home protection plan that I paid for, I would never have considered paying them these fees.

3. I scheduled a water heater inspection through Union Plumbing, since I paid $175 for the service. They said the window for the inspection was 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM, thus requiring me to stay at home all day waiting for the inspector from the City. Well, 4:15 PM rolls around and still nobody has come. I called Union Plumbing to see when the inspector is going to be at my house. This is the response from Anna at Union Plumbing, "Oh, I am sorry, we made a mistake and scheduled it for tomorrow.". I asked Anna if she would enjoy spending her entire day off waiting for someone to show up and then be told there was a mistake. Obviously, she had no answer.

After feeling my blood boil hotter than the water in my handsomely paid for water heater, I asked for the owner, Larry Glines, to call me to discuss the multiple failures in customer service and professionalism I have experienced with his company. I asked for a phone call the next morning from Mr. Glines. Of course, none came, so I went to his place of business at 4305 W. Post Road #7 and asked to speak with him. I was told he was not in but would be back after 3:00 yesterday. I asked to leave a written message, which I did, requesting a phone call. I never did receive one.

Do yourself a favor, don't use this company if you do not have to. In fact, I am not gong to renew my contract with the home protection plan just because of this miserable experience with Union Plumbing.

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. They over charge and pull some very shaddy practices. If you have Toal home ssrvice plan and need plumbing work done make sure they do not send out Union Plumbing. What a bunch of rip off artists!!!

My tech, Ryan T, was awesome, friendly and I felt completely at ease around him. I was home alone and him and I chatted about kids and faily while he changed my disposal out, very quickly might I add. The price was reasonable and I'd def use them again!
