Because of my player's card, got a hotel special to stay at Mirage. Usually stay at New York, New York (which I have had great Vegas Service). From the start, the service was HORRIBLE at the Mirage. I shrugged this bad service off as a few bad apples, but it got worse. I intentionally kept my gaming at the Mirage to ensure maximum comps towards my room. After gambling at least $5K, I was told that my comps were $14.60. In my years visiting Vegas I was shocked. I asked for my gambling records. They said they didn't show me gambling since Feb. of 2013..... my stay was in June 2013. BEWARE of Mirage. Over-priced, bad service and very questionable.

If you don't have the

We went in with a party of 10 after making reservations weeks in advance and calling to confirm prior to arrival. They tried to charge a $5/person cover that was never mentioned when the reservations were made or confirmed. We argued the point and won but be prepared to be charged a cover just to get through the door to order your meal.

The service was absolutely awful. We were seated at 8PM in order to make the Ron White show at 10PM. We didn’t make it. It took over 1 ½ hours to have the food brought out. I made four requests of the waitress over the course of the agonizing wait - twice for a fresh cocktail, once for water, and once for butter to accompany the meal when it finally came. Each time the waitress came back some 10-15 minutes later and asked if we needed anything. Re-ordering the drinks each time finally worked but I ended up telling her to cancel the request for butter as I had finished my meal before she came around to reveal she had forgotten me once again.

We repeatedly asked to speak to a manager, but apparently that service is just as bad, or perhaps he or she was still upset that they had not been able to bilk us out of the $50 in cover chargers. They finally sent a young lady (no older than our current waitress) who was clearly NOT the manager and not in a position to do anything for us despite the fact that a real manager seemed to be at the entrance to the restaurant.

The Blues music was not bad but it is played loud enough to make conversation difficult. The food tasted OK but all the meals were little more than fast food Bar-B-Q that probably took less than 5 minutes to prepare. The best meal was probably the Chicken Carbonera (sp?) but nothing to write home about. The deep fried pickles were probably the highlight (if you like that sort of thing) but be prepared for a great deal of dripping grease.

Total bill - $300+ for 10 people (including cocktails when we could get them and less the $3 tip we included for the service). The place will survive because it is in a casino and preys on unsuspecting tourists. This local, however, will never be a repeat customer. On the bright side, The Ron White comedy show was outstanding – other than the fact we arrived late thanks to BB King!

Such a great time!

We had this on our to do list on our Honeymoon. My husband had never seen dolphins in person. This was great that it was available on the strip!

Okay

This was one of the cheaper buffets we went to and it was just ok. Not many things on the buffet that I liked and just not as good as the others. It's cheaper and you get what you pay for.

Meathead and Sausage Fest

Last night I went to the "place to party on Monday night" Jet, at the Mirage. What a disappointment. I received comped tickets to go from a pit boss while playing blackjack. My wife and I were very excited about going, went back to the room got cleaned up and headed down at 10:15pm. The tickets were good until midnight. At 12:02am we finally got to the front of the line. And the large bouncer, rudely tells everyone, it's now $30 per person to get in. I negotiated with him, and he said I pay, but my wife gets in free. No problem. I paid and we were in. The big bouncer agreed on those terms for the couple behind us. The gentleman paid his money and began to walk in, but a second bouncer stopped him. The second bouncer was a short Italian meathead. And yelled at the large gentleman who had just paid, "move back out and pay another $30." The gentleman tried to tell him that the large bouncer said it was ok. When the large bouncer was asked about it by the little Italian guy, he denied it. Obviously he wasn't allowed to approve such things, so he called him a liar and kicked the couple out. Without returning the $30. My wife and I went into the club. In the main room the dj sucked. He didn't know how to mix songs. All he did was lower the song that was ending, then slowly bring up the next song. My six year old can do that. In the backroom there was a dj spinning house/techno music, he was good. There are no couches to sit anywhere in this club, except at the "VIP" tables. There were so many people inside, I'm sure the fire code was broken. I have been coming to the Mirage for over 14 years. After that experience, I will never stay there, dine there, see shows there, or gamble there.

FYI, the ratio of guys to girls was 15 to 1. A true Sausage Fest.

Do not go to this club

This nightclub is terrible. It is overcrowded, lighting is bad, very stuffy and worst of all, the security is extremely abusive. My very passive friend who never fights or causes trouble, is a law school student at usc and raised in a family of police officers was detained and abused physically by their security. They used unwarranted excessive force. We've filed a complaint against them and intend to pursue any and all actions. You may not have an experience with security but if you or your friend ever due, whether unwarranted or not, you will no doubt face the disgusting tactics and hateful persona's that these people have towards their customers. For your sakes, stay away from this place.

One of the Best

Still in the top rung. I was there when they first opened and very recently was impressed with the good upkeep.

Awesome

This place has the coolest animal zoo. So worth the fee to get into the secret garden. You are so close to the dolphins and other animals.

Nice Hotel

I have stayed here 4 different times over the past 7 yrs. Attentive staff, clean rooms, good restaurants. Beautiful pool area, although sometimes it's difficult to get a chair. Overall, a very nice place.
