These guys are great..they check over everything even if all you're doing is an oil change..they tell you thier concerns with no pressure to get the work done there..its like they are actually only interested in you leaving with a safe reliable car..ive never been more satisfied leaving a mechanic

AVOID THIS SHOP!!!!!!!



I took my Volkswagen Karmann Ghia into Sun Valley Automotive for break issues. I was told I needed a new master cylinder. I approved a new master cylinder. When I received my car back, I still didn't have breaks. So I took the car back. The second time Sun Valley had my car they did some brake wiring and kept my car for two to three months. When I received my car back, I still didn't have brakes.



I then moved back to California and now my Karmann Ghia is being reviewed as to why I didn't have brakes. The brake system was entirely gone. The brakes, drums, rotors, and boots on the rear were shot. The front as well, the parking brake was stretched beyond fixable and the master cylinder looks as though it was never replaced. If it had been replaced the gas tank would have had to been pulled. I also found out that the elbows that hold my gas tank in are now bent and I was leaking gas.



I am wondering now if I was charged for services not rendered, or if they did do the services and cause my gas issues. Also why would the mechanic not tell me about the condition of my brakes when I brought the car into them for brake issues.



Also, I was charged for a smog that was never done. I was told by the night front desk attendant that my car passed smog but I'd have to go to the DMV for proof because they had my car for so long that they LOST my smog certificate.

Was told after the fact that my sons friend took his car in here. They tried to shake him down for a 1 hr diag fee of $100. A hundred bucks for what, because you bought a shiny toolbox from Harbor Freight and a Chilton manual you call yourself a mechanic? These guys are the bottom of the barrel and laughed at by real mechanics. The midget owner has this fascination with glory holes and gay p o r n from what insiders have witnessed. Anyways, car needed an O2 sensor. Thhey tried to talk him into an engine overhaul. For a $12 part and 4 minutes, I helped him the honest way. Cheaters never prosper Terry. but that BBB aka bribe,bribe, bribe logo on the wall still fools them , huh?

I used to be a loyal customer for 15 years. I am now finishing my 14th month of a "two week" engine replacement. Most of the time my 1968 Mustang just sits in the yard oxidizing and sun rotting. I have been very patient with Sun Valley, I realize how old my car is, but after over a year it now just seems that they are not finishing it just to see how far they can push my limits. I have reached that limit and will now have to show up with a tow truck and take my car to someone else who still values doing business in a diligent manner. Not only are the repairs not completed, they have been evasive about my cars repair status through the whole process. My car's paint and interior have been damaged by the elements by sitting in the yard for most of this time. I hope they can stay in business doing the fleet work they so value, because I intend to spread the word about how they have treated this previously loyal customer.

watch out

The owner should spend less time scuba diving and more time preventing employee turn over. All of their decent employees left due to them being forced into ripping off customers. You would think after the company moved away from being next to the adult store they wouldn't turn into a dirty business.(if you could call it that) They also do not deserve any stars.

EXELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!

I TOOK MY 1996 FORD F250 IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. BEING A FIRST TIME CUSTOMER, I WAS A LITTLE LEARY AT FIRST(WENT TO FORD DEALER ALL THE TIME). THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AT THE COUNTER, AND SCOTT(TECHNICIAN) GREETED ME IN THE LOBBY, AND TOOK ME OUT INTO THE SHOP TO SHOW ME A FEW PROBLEMS THEY HAD FOUND ON MY TRUCK(TRY THAT AT THE FORD DEALER!!!!!!). HE EXPLAINED WHAT REPAIRS WERE NEEDED, AND WHAT COULD WAIT. NO PRESSURE SALES!!!!!. MY TRUCK WAS FIXED THAT DAY, AND I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN HAPPIER. A MUCH FRIENDLIER ATMOSPHERE THAN AT THE DEALER!!!!!!

Excellent Experience!

I had some Trouble with My vehicle, it was leaking some coolant and trying to find an Auto Shop with late hours is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. I sleep during the day so it is hard to find someone that is open late, let alone Dependable.

So I droped my car off in the afternoon the place was clean and had nice and helpful people. They let me know what the cost of diagnosing before hand, they told me that they would call bfore they did anything to my vehicle to let me know what happen to my car and what the price would be. So my friend and I went to work and they called me about hour and half to let me know what happen, They went over the whole problem with me and helped me understand the stuff I didnt know. When I picked up the vehicle it was fixed and the price was right on the money. I recomend this shop to my friends and you. thanks for taking time to read this. Mary H.
