I hired Sears to repair my gas dryer. The appointment online was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were able to find an appointment to fit my schedule.

The tech was able to diagnose the problem within two minutes and direct me to the person I needed to effectuate the repairs. Additionally, he showed me a trick to confirm whether the repair had indeed been fixed. He was honest, reliable, trustworthy, accurate, on time, and efficient.

Initially, I hired another company because I thought Sears would be more expensive. Was I wrong! The other company charged more and failed to fix the problem.

I won't make this mistake again. Go straight to Sears to get the job done right the first time and get back to your life. I highly recommend them!

The Union plumber Ryan can out to install a new 75 gallon hot water heater. In the process, he charged me for an additional worker a fee of $110, he charged me $139 to remove and re-install my existing recirculation pump, which he broke when re-installing the pump. He said it was old and needed to be replaced for $500 extra. He returned and disconnected my pump so it doesn't work.
I have filed three complaints (18191,18193 and 18426) with Sears and recently a damage complaint 253736.
Nothing has been resolved with Sear's contract plumbers Union.
What happen to the saying if you broke something you are held responsible to repair it.
I have had Sears maintenance contracts for over ten years and until now have been extremely satisfied.
Union plumbing some be fired They are not customer oriented.

Our technician was terrific. He came at the top of the hour and was quick to diagnose and fix. We asked to have the dryer cleaned of lint and we would not have known if it needed it or not...he said no and we were not charged. Honest, fair and quick. Very very happy!

The technician, James, maintained good communication on the scheduled repair day and showed up at the appointed time. He was also very pleasant. Those two things said, everything was downhill from there. Since the washer was under a Sears protection agreement, we called Sears when our Whirlpool washer started making an odd clicking sound for 20 - 30 seconds after the tub filled for wash or rinse, but before the agitator would start. It did not do this when the washer was new. We recorded the noise and played it for him so he would know what we were talking about. He ran his diagnostic and said that the washer "didn't throw a code". I guess to him that meant there was no problem, even though the clicking was obvious during his diagnostic. His suggestion was to "wait until the clicking noise is louder or doesn't stop or we start hearing a grinding noise. Then call Sears and request a repair tech." So Sears did nothing for us and we still have the odd clicking to deal with. We're not the least bit happy about this.

The Sears equipment repair service technician (Rikki) was outstanding. He conducted my annual maintenance inspection on my Sole 85 treadmill with perfection. When Rikki finished , my treadmill was running like new money. RWA

I had a problem of something became loose in my washer, and made a loud noise in the wash cycle. The repairman had to come out twice to repair the problem, and is now working great. The repairman was professional, and apologized for the inconvenience. He assured me that he had taken extra precaution that this problem would no longer occur.

Called to have a water dispenser on my refrigerator repaired. Tech came out during the scheduled time frame. He called about 30 minutes prior to showing up to confirm he was on his way. He made the repair quickly and it's been working great since.

They don't even deserve 1 star. Negative 5 stars would be them. They have scheduled to come out 6 times but have only been out 4 , the other 2 appts were no show no call. They have replaced 3 different parts and the machine still does not work.

First time I called Sears was in June25, 2016 to fix my AC, then I called them again since its still not cooling again. I called them on July 28, Technician came on July 29. They stayed only for less than 10 minutes. The same problem on Aug. 2nd. Tech came on Aug 4th. Tech said They are unable to fix the problem, had a leak in the unit ,they were trying to sell me new AC. We had to stay in the hotel. I asked them since you are not able to fix the issues I need the unit to be replaced. They said no, instead they send some Sale Person to the house. What's the purpose of having a Home Warranty if they are not able to fix the problem? We had to call 2 different company to diagnose the problems. First company told us they can fix the problem, its only a very small leak, we had to pay $3k. Second Tech said the leak is too small that he was able to fix it and he just added some refrigerant. Now the AC has been fixed. BEWARE of SEARS home warranty, they would ripped you.

Stay away from sears and their Maintenance Protection Agreements. I purchased four appliances from sears in 2001 with a Maintenance Protection Agreement on each. Every year a sears technician has came out to inspect the appliances. Last week rust was noted on the Kenmore washer. There are no parts available to fix it and sears will not cover rust so for 15 years the sears technicians, trained in ignoring anything that's not covered under the maintenance agreement, have ignored the rust until the machine became unserviceable and I get left holding the bag. I urge you to STAY AWAY FROM SEARS APPLIANCE MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS!!!

The service technicians take ownership of your problem and work hard to resolve your concerns, but they are not fully equipped with full documentation for the appliances they are sent to repair. It is also very difficult to obtain an appointment because the customer is required to perform extensive troubleshooting steps before a technician will be assigned to complete the repair.

The technician # 0002212 was the best. I have seen him before. He showed me how to empty the extra water from the water softener by bypassing the water filling stage on the regeneration cycle. He is awesome. He is patient, kind, and very experienced. I think his old age helps in having better manners and being nice to people.
