AMAZING vet! I cannot say enough good things about these people. I was taking my daughter to school and passed a wonderful lady, standing in the street, protecting a dog who had been hit by a car. I picked her and the dog up and we came here. We walked in the dog and the minute I said "dog hit by a car", they rushed us back and immediately started working on the dog. They asked no questions, and didn't hesitate for a second. The male vet (I didn't catch his name) started doing everything he could. You could see how much he cared. He's the first vet I've ever seen care THAT much. I've lived in 5 different states in my 30 years and have NEVER dealt with a vet who cared like that. I will be taking my pets to him from now on.

This is the worst pet clinic I've never seen!

I brought my dog there for a check up and a vaccination it's the first time. My dog was scared and kept barking. After a while, the old guy came out saying "I cannot deal with him today, he'll bite",

I told him "he won't bite", the old guy kept saying "no, he'll bite, I don't want to deal with it!"

My dog has been in several states pet clinics before, when vet saw him, they'll comfort him and talked to him, then he'd feel at home, never ever had a problem; I wondered how this old vet was afraid my dog, you are a vet! You're supposed to know how to handle a dog! Such a lousy pet clinic! Thanks God, I found a good one after left this lousy place, my dog got a good care here!

I moved here from Reno and did not know where to take my fur babies for vet care. My neighbor gave me Dr. Anast name and number. I took my sick little guy in for care and found Dr. Anast to be an amazing, caring, and gentle person. He cares for your pet, and he cares about the pet parents also. God Bless this wonderful man.

Sandy Hill Animal Clinic is the BEST vets office I have EVER had the pleasure of taking my pets and my friends and families pets to. I've been a loyal customer since around 2010. Since then I have been taking my 4 pets to see Dr. Anast. He is not only the most awesome veterinarian ever, but he is one of the most kind-hearted, caring, and genuine PEOPLE I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My recent visit was recently when a friend's dog had a very severe emergency. I didn't know what to do so I took the dog to Sandy Hill. The second we ran trough the door the staff dropped everything to help this dying dog. Since we came in prior to closing time, Dr. Anast offered to take the dog home to watch her and make sure she survived the night since the clinic isn't open 24 hours. Unfortunately, the dog had to be put down but the Dr. and staff were very caring and helpful. They did everything they could to help the dog survive and to ensure her comfort and the comfort of myself and the dog's owner. Also, my life savings wasn't drained after the fact. I am very thankful and extremely happy I found such an awesome vets office. I will recommend Sandy Hill to anyone and everyone, always.

Dr. Anast

Dr. Anast and the staff at Sandy Hill Animal Clinic are absolutely unbelieveable! Dr. Anast is not only good with sick animals but is also good with worried (and sometimes freaking out) pet owners. They also take care of business like it should be taken care of. The front staff is always very nice and ready and willing to spend any amount of time to answer any questions, etc., you might have. The clinic is exceptionally clean and there is no stress in the air (like some clinics with animals screaming in the back, etc.). Also, they don't book their appointments close together. You are scheduled at 2:30, you get in at 2:30. But, the best part is...they have a heart. Money doesn't come first. If you have an emergency and need help but don't have enough cash on hand, these people WILL work with you. I know of no other vet in town that will take an emergency visit (from someone that isn't a client) unless you can pay the bill, all of it. They don't care of your pet dies or not. I can't express how thankful I am to know that if my little girl ever has another emergency and I'm freaking out and in need of help, these people will be there to make everything okay again. Also, not only does your pet get a treat, you get a lollipop. Yea!

If there was a way to give Dr. Anast and the staff at Sandy Hill a 100 out of 5 stars, we would!

Have been bringing our pets here for 20 years and have never had a single bad experience. Words cannot honestly fully express how much we appreciate this business. We have honestly been brought to tears many times by the depth of compassion this vet has towards our pets and our family. Could NEVER imagine anyone better!

Dr. Anast has treated 6 cats and 5 dogs for us through these years and he has always been able to properly diagnose and treat them quickly and effectively. It is so reassuring to know he is there whenever anything goes wrong with any of our pets. When a few of these family pets have reached the end of their long dusty trail, Dr. Anast and staff have been there to help everyone through with great sensitivity and compassion. Our entire family, including our 2 children, love this guy and have the utmost faith in him!!

When one of our Dalmatians was in her later years she had a stroke on New Years Eve, which fell on a Saturday. Dr. Anast made a special trip into the office for us and stayed late to make sure she was stable. After keeping her overnight, she was well enough to bring home on New Years Day. Dr. Anast met us at the office that Sunday and gave us a gift - of a fully functioning dog to bring home - and to answer our questions and give care instructions. Now how many vets in this city would ever go out of their way like that, especially on a holiday weekend?!!

He has also treated the occasional rat, hamster, or other small critter that our kids have collected through years. He's never turned us away and has always treated all critters with kindness - and always knew exactly what was wrong and healed their ailments!

It's hard to understand how anyone could give a bad review, but it takes all kinds. As they say, you can't please all the people all of the time. All we can say for anyone who was unhappy (and obviously didn't give Sandy Hill a fair try) - it's their loss and good riddance. Anyone who truly loves their animals and appreciates having them looked after by a loving, caring, knowledgeable, and capable doctor cannot go wrong with Dr. Anast and Sandy Hill.

Thank you so much for all the things you've done for our family over the years Dr. Anast! There never has been and never will be any better veterinarian. We know one day you may want to, but we hope you never retire!

We have been bringing our Cats to Sandy Hill Anima Clinic for 13 years. Dr. Angst, Dr. Jonas, and all the other staff are the best in Town. We started out with two cats and ended up with four. Two cats came become sick and died, all during their illnesses, we were treated with respect and the best of care. I cannot say enough praise for theses Doctors, they are true animal lovers and show great concern about my animals, they have endured my mistakes when bringing in my cats with issues that were silly, however, reassured me that I was just being a good Mom to my cats. I could not take care of my cats with out Sandy Hill Animal Clinic or their wonderfull staff.

Yesterday, we brought four rescued coonhounds to your facility at the recommendation of one of our local volunteers. OMG, what a fabulous experience! Dr. Anast was awesome, and we were treated like gold! Not all vet offices are rescue-friendly, yet your office staff were over the top with great customer service, both on the phone and in person. We can't thank you enough for taking us in at the last moment to get our hounds vaccinated. They had long transports yesterday and will continue on to California tomorrow. Dr. Anast and staff were THE BEST! Wish we had more like you around this country!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Dr. George and his staff are among the most caring people I have ever met. He cared for my mother's and my animals for over 30 years. They are compassionate and experienced. Their fees are exceptionally reasonable. I have recently moved from Las Vegas, and when I needed a second opinion on my dog's care, I drove him all the way from Denver simply because I knew I could trust his advice. This clinic is the best I have ever patronized.

Dr. Anast is the best vet I have ever known!!! We have taken all of our animals to him over the years, current total is 7 dogs and 4 cats he even had me bring in my rat that had a growth on his face that turned out to be nothing but an abcess that he lanced and cleaned for me. I brought my cat in who was knocking on deaths door, after running her blood work (ALWAYS RUN BLOODWORK!!!) nothing showed really, after a lengthy discussion we found out her problem was that she had stopped eating her own food and only ate dog food so she was lacking torine. One of our dogs in that the emergency vet had told us we would have to put him down and Anast informed us that he was only epileptic. Dr. Anast has been nothing but compassionate twords us and our animals and I am so very glad to have a vet like him, I would never let any other vet touch my animals so long as Dr. Anast is alive and well. I've had animals taken forcibly from me and friends because we could not pay our bill up front, thank god for Anasts good heart, he always lets us make payments for their treatment because we have been coming to the clinic for so long and he doesn't want to see an animal turned away suffering. He will go above and beyond for you and your pets...you couldn't make a better decision then chosing him as your vet.

Dr Anast and the staff at Sandy Hill are the BEST!!! I originally went to thier office because it was close to my job, and it was the best thing I could have done for my pets, My 3 mo old kitten was very ill, and Dr Anast saved her life, that was 6 yrs ago, and she is happy and healthy today. My son's cat was hit by a car a few days ago, the 24hr clinic Dr said her broken leg would have to be amputated, but Dr Anast saId they could save the leg. He kept her overnight, splinted her leg (today) and we will check with him in a week to see her progress. I cannot even begin to sing th praises of this man and his staff....thank you so much!!

Make friends with the receptionist then you won't need an appointment. Your suffering animal will be seen ahead of those saps who have appointments. Abused rescued dogs will not find any compassion from this group.

If you want a DVM that truly has a warm heart, the gift of compassion and knowledge with experience, then this is the place for you. I was lucky enough to be introduced to Dr. Anast buy my best friend in 1994 (somewhere around that time) I have seen first hand the compassion and dedication that the entire staff at the Sandy Hill Animal Clinic provides to their patients as well as their owners. Doc George has to be one of the nicest, kindest, giving, professional, empathetic Vets that I have ever met in any state. He is first and foremost concerned for the patient, animal, pet that he is treating. His generous and compassionate personality and knowledge of medicine combined make him nearly a Saint. He and his beautiful wife Chery have to be two of the nicest people I've ever met and I entrust Dr. Anast with all of my pet needs and recommend him all of the time. I have sent numerous friends to him over the years and they too LOVE HIM and his staff. I would recommend that if you haven't taken your pet there before... it's time to start... that is if you want the best care, from the best DVM ever. My heart, friendship and loyalty to Dr. Anast and wife Cheryl for always being fantastic caregivers and advocates to God's gift to us, our little furry and sometimes not so furry loved ones.

Please take your animals to Sandy Hill Clinic. The staff is wonderful and compassionate and truly care about the health and well being of your animal. I discovered this clinic when I worked at a nearby business. We found a little doggie wandering alone who apparently had been on his own for quite some time. None of us knew what to do and did not want to call the shelter as we knew what would have hapened. We decided to take the doggie to Sandy Hill. The doctor treated and took care of this little fellow at no cost and thankfully the owner of eventually found and was so grateful to get her little doggie back. No other vet would have done what the doctor did especially at no cost! Thanks Sandy Hill. I highly recommend you to everyone!

If you're looking for the very best pet animal medical care, look no further than Dr. George Anast and associates at Sandy Hill. Have been on the receving end of his excellent, caring, knowledgeable treatment for my best friends, Shadow and Brandy, since arrival in LV in 1992. He is the very best at what he does; providing compassionate care, animal and human. I trust George implicitly and cannot say enough 'good' about him - and the staff who support him!

I have been taking my animals to Dr Anast since I moved here in 1993, he has always given our dogs the best of care.I feel that he has treated my dogs with the same care he would treat his own. I hope he never retires (only kidding, he deserves it) but we will be hard pressed to find another vet that is as honest and caring as he has been. I trust him 100% to do what is right for my animals and I have been in his office alot over the years. Thank you Dr. Anast for being you.

Dr. Anast rules

Dear Hater, I'm sorry you might have been there on a busy day or hellacious day . I know I have lost 6 dogs at Sandy Hill over the past few years. Dr. Anist knows when to show you compassion or give you space. He has also helped me extend my dogs lives and stayed on me about being a responsible owner of dog packs. I have also fostered and adopted cats from his office over the years and had charges looked over. Great Las Vegas Business man

In response to the immature and childish "dieDr Anast" review.

As ou can see below, they eliminated the response to a disturbed individual, who goes by the name of "dieDr Anast" and I can see why.

First of all, you better clean out your eyes and other parts of your body, because, obviously, you're full of it from your feet to your eyes. With yours being the only review like this out of 5 other positive reviews, there is definitely something wrong with this picture, and it appears to be you. No doubt, you're leaving something out that would indicate just who and what an imbecile you really are.

I've been going to Dr. Anast for the past 30 years, and have not had one, not one, negative experience. He has treated 3 different dogs for me during that period of time and the first two lived a long and healthy lives, well beyond their expected longevity for their breeds. I expect the same for my third dog, as she is only 3 years old at present.

He once had to treat my second dog to the extent that he took her to his private home and had her sleep in there so he could observe her and make sure she got all her medication on schedule. So ... don't tell me about Dr. Anast!

Again, you being the only negative person of a total of 6 on this site, it only makes sense that it's you with the problem and likely the bad apple in this barrel. Go find another clinic. I'm sure Dr. Anast and everyone else would be over joyed. You're so off base here, you don't deserve the time it took me to write this, but I write it for those who should know more about Dr. Anast and his wonderful, compassionate clinic and staff. I would rather waste my time on you, rather than have to give any credibility to the childish comment you made. Your language alone, depicts a person who needs to see a doctor, and I'm not speaking of physical heath reasons.

I truly wish you the best, and my sympathy wholeheartedly goes out to your dog, which you call "little friend." I sure hope you treat him better than your elementary note of criticism indicates. Your dog deserves to have an adult taking care of him. I can only imagine the life that poor dog must be leading.
