This place is a Joke! So this morning we brought our cat for a teeth cleaning. 8:30 AM we arrived, another couple was there for their dogs. We could barely spoke to the front desk manager since she seemed stressed and overwhelmed ( can you imagine dealing with two clients it’s a lot) she told us that there will be an additional fee for each teeth removed, we told her it’s just a teeth cleaning and they have to call us before extracting anything. She answered that she can’t call us, so we told her that IT’S JUST a TEETH CLEANING and she told us that the price will be around $250. 4:30pm we came back to get our cat. The bill is now close to $600 because they removed less than 6 teeth!!!!!!!!! We told the front desk manager that it’s way too expensive and we didn’t want her to have her teeth removed without knowing it. She double checked the bills to realize that we had been charged 2 times for the teeth extraction!!!! At that point we are not nervous for the money but for the well being of our cat. We started to bombard her with questions. Of course they are so scared to be sued she cannot tell me anything ( cowards! ) we ending up getting our cat back: they removed 3 teeth including the two frontal canines!!!! They told us that they had to do it because the teeth were moving and there was mold!!!! Are fucking kidding me my cat is a Scottish Fold pure breed imported from France, she is our baby so you can imagine that my wife and I are constantly checking on her and her teeth were NOT MOVING and there was certainly no mold! ( remember that they charge you for each extraction). What was suppose to be a teeth cleaning ended up by a useless teeth surgery, my cat has now stitches, she is in pain killer and antibiotics for 2 weeks. She has difficulties to recover from the anesthesia ( it’s 7 pm) she can barely drink, cannot eat and she is in pain. And of course no one in their team will answer our questions.

They saw my dog several times and diagnosed him with allergies. Put the dog on some steroids and changed the diet. We eventually went to another clinic and turns out to be cancer. The dog is currently going for kimo. Nice job!
Also beware of customer gouging. Will try to get you to do unnecessary blood work, x rays and urine tests so they can boost up your bill.
We also had another dog that died quite quickly a few years back. We can't say for sure but it is possible that improper treatment could have been a major issue. Guess we will never know for sure!

I am a longtime client and former employee of Sahara Animal Hospital and know that the previous post is just an angry rant from someone upset about losing their job. Dr. Artega, an a-hole!? SERIOUSLY!? No vet could possibly care more for your "kids" and he will do everything possible to help you and your animals! I cannot believe someone would make a post to deter people from getting the best care for their loved ones! I'd never take my babies anywhere else!
