This has become one of the worse apartment complexes I have ever lived in. And please read on, I am not a new tenant. I am a resident of 7 years off and on, Mom ten years and my niece has lived here ten years straight. So what I am saying is legit.

This used to be one of my favorite places to live until they went under new management with Sylvia. The first incident was them losing my rent check and blaming me and my bank for the mishap. I came home to an embarrassing eviction notice on my door, something that has never happened to me because I am always early if not on time with my rent payments. Despite my rental history, they made me pay rent via a money order.

The last incident was them having my Mom's car towed without notice....during the holidays. Instead of Sylvia being a proactive manager and leaving a note on my Mom's door, she placed a darn near unremovable tow notice on her car and had the car towed the next day due to her sticker being expired. Little did she know the car was registered, the sticker was in my Mom's car and she hadn't had a chance to place it on the car yet because she rarely drives. $300 later, I retrieved my Mom's vehicle.

Sylvia picks and chooses what rules she wants to enforce in this complex, obviously playing favorites. The complex switched to DirecTV services, and all residents had 30 days to remove their dishes and sign up or have them automatically removed by the complex. Fearing our services would be cut off, me, Mom and my niece immediately paid the $50 fee to transfer over (a fee that DirecTV later told me the complex should have never charged residents, considering the complex made money from the deal in the first place) only to find out that after the 30 days passed, there were still tenants (and still to this very post date) that have dishes outside of their apartments. When confronted by my niece, she was told that long time residents were allowed to keep theirs. Mind you, my niece has lived here for ten years, me 7 off and on and my Mom also at ten years, off and on. A prime example of playing favorites and picking and choosing which rules she wants to enforce.

This complex is a complete dump compared to what it was when I moved here back in 2007 and when my Mom and niece moved here in 2005. The grounds are always filthy, I have a neighbor that parks his bicycles, lawn chairs and barbecue grill next to my bedroom window, people leave their garbage outside of their apartment doors for days at a time and there was a time when maintenance replaced my bathroom sink and left the old one underneath my stairs for two weeks!

They have switched to offering DirecTV at a high discounted rate, as well as high speed internet which is really cheap, as well as painting the entire complex a different color from the outside. But have your heard of the saying, "You can't polish a turd?" Stay far away from this place and don't let the cheap rent fool you. You get what you pay for. They offered me a new lease at the same rate I'm paying now, yet raised my Mom's rent $75. My Mom has a one bedroom and I have a two, and her rent is only going to be about $30 less than mine after the new lease signing. What kind of sense does that make?! So glad I have put in my 60 day notice to vacate (they make you put in 60 days, instead of the traditional 30). This was once a great place to live, now it's just a complete dump ran by an extremely poor manager that doesn't know what she's doing by rewarding bad tenants and punishing the long term good tenants. Good riddance to bad trash.
