I ordered a very special cake for my partners birthday and met with the guy who runs the shop. He told me the cake would look amazing and was all about the design and making sure that part would be unreal. I told him I only needed it to feel up to 10 people. I paid over $400 for this cake trusting that he would keep his promise and do something wonderful. He said it would be the best cake that anyone has seen. When the cake arrived to our table I was horrified! It looked like it had been done in an hour before the event (even though I gave weeks notice and full prepayment). The cake was big enough to feed 150 people at least and was just a giant mess. I felt so embarrassed. Everything I confirmed with the guy was not right- even the type of cake they used was not what I ordered- I order mud cake and they gave me some sort of sponge. The design was hurried and totally wrong. The edges of the cake were not even joined properly. It honestly looked like a teenager with no baking experience did it. We ended up leaving the ENTIRE cake at the restaurant and was unfortunately left a bad memory for us that night when it was supposed to be a night we wouldn't forget. My advice is to NEVER go to this place. The photos of their website are NOT what you are getting. I will never pay for something like this upfront ever again. You should be ashamed Pastry Palace.

Had a baby shower a couple of years ago - loved the taste and the look of the "Kievskiy" Cake!!! Since then I ordered cakes their several times and every time it was great! My girlfriend also got one and wasn't disappointed.

Love everything about my wedding cake please make sure to thank everybody who did this.
