I sure wish we had read reviews before purchasing a bed from these people. We found a great deal on a bed for our son. This was on May 7th, 2010. We were told it would be available to pick up in 2-3 weeks. I called at just under the 3 week mark but got an answering machine. I left a message and heard nothing back. So, I called again a few days later and the phone number was no longer in service. We drove over there and the store no longer exists. A sign on their window says they shut down as of May 19th, 2010. I'm willing to be they knew when they took our order that we'd never get it. I was able to track down one of the owner's home phone and address. I was able to get Carole Butwinick on her home phone once. She gave me the run around but promised to call in two days to tell me the status of the bed. I've never heard back. I've called again repeatedly and no one ever answers. It is too late to warn everyone since they've already close their doors. But if you ever see another store run by Mark or Carole Butwinick, run the other way fast. They will do nothing but scam you.

Customer Service at its worst

I purchased a Couch and Table for a decent price from Norwalk Furniture and they told me 2 weeks to deliver 3 weeks at the latest. We waited through the end of 3 weeks and never heard a word from them. That friday we called and were told it would be another week. Again no call the following week and when I called again they said it was on backorder it would be another 2 weeks. At that point I demanded my money back and they refused. Luckilly I paid with a Credit Card and Visa has returned my money, since I never received a product. If this happens to someone else do not let them tell you that you have no option. No Returns no Cancelations only applies if they fulfilled there part which would mean deliverying the stuff that was purchased when it was agreed upon. Wells Fargo took care of it for me in two days full refund so good luck to everyone else who was unfortunate enough to deal with this store. Also as a side not the Manager Tom is incompetant, inappropriate and an a-hole. After I was upset and said some things he said "Why don't you come down here and say that to my face." with a threatening nature. So this is the kinda of people that Norwalk employees I would suggest never going there and remember if you do use a credit card, if I would have paid cash I would have been up s***s creek without a paddle. I am just so elated right now that I got my money back and hopefully he has to eat some cost. I REPEAT DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM NORWALK

Nice furniture GREAT PRICE

I got two bedrooms sets in October and went back in January for my den set. The people seemed to have good furniture knowledge. My chair was backordered, but that seems to happen everywhere I shop! Can't beat the prices at this place. Really helpful delivery guy!

How are they still open???!!!

I ordered chairs because I was having family in for the holidays and I was PROMISED that they would arrive by christmas if not earlier ( I asked about loaner chairs hopefully in a matching color scheme and was told that was an option). I kept calling week after week and being told "Oh call back tomorrow, or Oh they'll be on the next truck" Obviously they chairs didnt arrive before I needed them- so I went to pick up my loaner chairs-- I was offered a crappy set of discount looking chairs. My chairs are still not in!!! This company is unbelievable- they take your money and don't follow up on their promises- PLUS you can't exchange or get a refund on their products! This is a word of caution DO NOT PURCHASE MERCHANDISE FROM NORWALK!!!!

2 months!!

I have been waiting for my furniture for almost 2 months! I call every week and they keep pushing back the date of my furniture arrival. When I did receive part of my order the delivery men forgot to screw the handles to the drawers! There goes half an hour of my Friday night. I would never ever buy more furniture from this store or recommend anyone else to. How could these people still be in business if it takes 2 months to receive any furniture? We paid $1600 and they can't even call the factory for us to see an exact arrival date! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! There are so many other furniture stores on this same street so when you see this store's sign along with the promise of affordable furniture, KEEP MOVING!
