Well, how do I explain what it's like to live in an apt. for at least three years and then suddenly find out that the senior discount you were given when you moved in at least two or three years prior was no longer offered.. How's that for a breach of contract? Suddenly we had a new slumlord owner Saswata Sen. He raised our rent from a senior four hundred or so dollars to around six hundred dollars I believe. Did we get our deposit back when we moved? Hell no! Oh and the actual building, roaches, acrack lab next to me what a neighbor selling drugs out of brown paper bags all day and night. I found cocaine or some kind of white powder on the hood of my car and realized these creeps were actually cutting or using drugs on my car hood. Oh my God ! We had no carpet in part of our apt. Leaking roof , my furniture got rotted from rain. Bugs, crack heads as visitors to apt. neighbors. Shootings, gun fire, fighting, drugs and needles on the grounds of the complex. One day I found a man hiding under my neighbors car with a knife. The neighbor on the right opened her door and there was a man holdig a large gun pointing it at her.The next day a moving van loaded up her stuff and she was gone. She was so scared she left some of her stuff behind . I finally told the scum lord once and for all to fix my bad wiring, no light upstairs. I told him to fix the bug problem, air conditioning and the brown water coming out of my bath tub faucet. The guy actually had the dirty nerve of wanting me to move into one of the empty apts, in the complex and charge me a big security deposit and keep my rent raised. Someone told me he eventually sold the complex not sure if its true.........I'LL TELL YOU THIS, I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY BY ANY MANAGEMENT OR APT. OWNER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. BY THE WAY THE POOL GOT CLOSED DOWN SEVERAL TIMES FOR BACTERIA OR FUNGUS ETC.THE HEALTH DEPT. KEPT PUTTING SIGNS DO NOT USE POOL CLOSED UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE. SO IF YOU SEE AN AD THAT READS APT. FOR RENT CONDO WITH EXERCISE AREA. WHEN WE WERE THERE, THAT EXERCISE AREA Was a POOR EXCUSE ! IIT WAS OUTSIDE, WITH A BROKEN DIRTY , SECOND HAND BIKE ETC. NEVER WORKED RIGHT, GIVE ME A BREAK! THAT WAS NO EXERCISE ROOM ! LOCATED AT 711 EAST TWAIN ..........BEWARE THINK TWICE MAYBE IT'S BETTER NOW BUT FOR US IT WAS A REAL LIFE NIGHTMARE AND BY THE WAY THE LADY TO THE RIGHT AND ACROSS FROM US HAD A CUTE LITTLE BOY .SHE TOLD ME SHE CALLED THE HEALTH DEPT, SHE TOLD ME SHE FOUND BITES AND DARK SMALL BUGS IN HER APT. AND THAT HER LITTLE BOY WAS ITCHING AND GOT BITTEN. She told us she was moving because her apt. was infested with bed bugs YUCK.....FORMERLY CASA DE PEDRO,MANOKA APTS,MANOKA PROPERTIES....WHATEVER THEY CALLED IT RENTERS BEWARE. IF YOU ARE A SENIOR BE EVEN MORE CAREFUL MY SENIOR RIGHTS WERE SERIOUSLY VIOLATED. THE APT. THEY LEASED ME WAS NOT FIT AND UNSAFE FOR ANYONE AND ESPECIALLY FOR A SENIOR. OFFERING A SENIOR RENT DISCOUNT TO SOMEONE OVER FIFTY FIVE AND THAN TAKING IT AWAY AND RAISING YOUR RENT WHEN YOU ARE OLDER THAN WHEN YOU MOVED IN IS A SCAM.
