I would've rated my experience with this law firm minus stars but didn't have that option. I also use the terms law and firm very loosely considering they don't uphold the law nor stand firm to their word.
I had retained Mr Charles Lobello in the wrongful death of my son law suit against Sunrise Hospital. He had me convinced that we had a very strong case to go forward with the lawsuit. And Felt at the time he was going to find justice for the careless death of my son.
Right up to the date of statue of limitations (2yrs) to file suit it was full steam ahead until I received a letter 2wks prior to time of running out to file. I was flabbergasted to say the least of his decision to drop the suit when all along he was going forward with it.
I was explaining what happened to an individual with the case and the first words out of their mouth was that the Hospital paid him off to drop the case. I never wanted to believe our judicial system was so off balance and that anyone that went to school for so long to become an attorney and represent the law to the utmost of there capability would ever do something so underhanded. Until I just so happen to go online and Google him to find he was sent to prison for tax evasion for monies not reported right around the time he dropped the case.
There is no amount of money I ever wanted to make up for the wrongful death of my son, But what I really would've like to have seen was Hospital policies changed, Doctors fined or revocation of license to practice, or most of all that no parent ever has to experience the avoidable loss of a child due to carelessness of a Hospital and Doctors we all learned to trust our lives with.
Since this incident I have totally lost faith in the medical and due process of the law. There is no justice when big business has put money more important than life it self. You should all be ashamed of yourself!
