Joel serviced and fixed my gas fireplace yesterday, 11/10/23. It now works perfectly. The pilot was partially plugged up so I could see one flame but not 2. Consequently the gas element would stay lit for a few minutes, then the whole thing shut off. Joel is great. He diagnosed and fixed it correctly the first time. Did not make a mess. Taught me how the thing works--including the pilot (thermocouple and thermopile), and the 2 knobs underneath. The price was extremely reasonable. Use him w/o reservation.
