My husband is currently in this facility. It's a 5 hour drive one way for me to visit him so I like to try to call him daily. He was admitted on 12-19-2016 and I called every day. They switched me to his room phone rang and rang. No answer. When I called back and inquired why was told he's sleeping. Mind you my daughter and I have called morning, noon, afternoon and night. No answer. On the 25th I was finally able to go up there. Much to my surprise there was NO PHONE in his room at all. When confronted they could have cared less. Finally I got a charge nurse who went immediately and got a phone for his room. I guess it will stay as I had to leave to return home to care for business. But that's not all. He wanted up to go potty and was told just potty in the bed and they would clean him up. Does this sound like rehabiliting one to go home. He is on such hwavy drugs he just lays there and sleeps. Sees people pulling down the wall to look at him. When he went to Sunrise Hospital 3 weeks ago, before they transferred him, he was ambulatory, driving and enjoying his family. Now he can't even get up to the bathroom. Try getting him out of there. He is on an IV drip and medicare will not pay to transport him even closer to home. But if I have 7000.00 to hire the ambulance and crew I can bring him home. He has only the use of one arm, they bring his tray, throw it down and walk away. How is he supposed to eat? If I had money he would be out of there right now!!!!!These people could care less.

Let me start by saying, the "INDIVIDUAL" who wrote these two reviews: 1) God Bless Horizon Specialty Hospital in Las Vegas" and 2) "Best Place to Heal" ...even further confirms for me just how dangerous of a facility you are!! So let's review these for a minute:



1) Author of these reviews, tell a story about their son and the horrible treatment they received at another facility and how wonderful Horizon has been to the son's recovery. WOW....Now that is amazing considering for the entire month my dad was in Horizon, waiting to pass away because of your lack of treatment and care and all the neglect from your evil, non-professional staff..I never did see one patient under the age of, I'm going to say 70 yrs. of age!!! So you must be about what 90 yrs. of age? hmmm...impressive! So of course your so called son's health issues weren't hereditary in your reviews.



2) I'm so absolutely sure that the author of both these reviews is employed by this hospital of death, both reviews written on 2-13-2010....that I would bet my very life on it!!!!



3) It is CHILLING to me that every foul, morbid, terrible, scary, sick thing you said in the reviews supposedly pertaining to a different facility is the exact description of Horizon to a T!



4) You should be ashamed of yourself!!!! These reviews you creatively thought up....shows just how far this facility is willing to go to recruit new victims....Horizon Specialty Hospital Staff...YOU KILLED MY DAD...AND YOU ALLOWED HIM TO SUFFER WHILE KILLING HIM! You will all be old some day and I hope and pray that you meet the same fate! YOU SUCK!

THE REVIEWS LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE THAT THESE ARE 2 DIFFERENT REVIEWS AND 2 DIFFERENT PATIENTS, YET WHEN YOU CLICK ON WHO IT IS WRITTEN BY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE REVIEWS..........THEY WERE BOTH MODIFIED YESTERDAY....6-13-2011 (oh yeah and they changed on both the date posted) was 2-13-2010, now they say 2-14-2010 and at the bottom of "God Bless Horizon Specialty Hospital in Las Vegas" they also added a little something special, It says: "I hope you find this information helpful!"

YEP! GIVE THEM ENOUGH ROPE AND THEY WILL HANG THEMSELVES!

I was a patient there for almost a week. When I went in the room was FILTHY!!!! I cleaned the whole area I was in and the bathroom. I had to take out bed pans, walkers, toilet seat helpers, etc. before I could even get in there. They used the bathroom as a storage closet. The nurses tried their best to help, but this facility needs a cleaning and remodeling. It was very noisy all day and night. The room was hot and I complained about the non working fan. A different maintenance man came in every day, looked at it, and left. It was never fixed. I hope to never go back again!!!!

I am very frustrated at the fact that I visited this facility fon a daily basis or 2 months caring for my friend. He has a feeding tube and his mouth would fill with mucas from his lungs. He was unable to swallow due to Despacia. The nurses would not properly clean his mouth. I would do it as an act of compassion for my old friend. I kept asking why he was coughing up so much mucas and kept having feavers. They said he had pnemonia. I was never warned one time that he was extremely infectious and carrying MRSA and CDIF. I was never told to wear a mask when cleaning his mouth. I wore gloves only on my own attempt to not touch his snot. He would cough in my face as I helped him clear the mucas that I thought was from pnemonia. I now must get tested as we have been informed of his true medical condition from Life Care Center. The nurse at the new facility was furious that they did not warn me. I was there daily. They didn't once warn me of infection. I guess because they legally dont have to. So they will let you risk yourself.
