Dr. Allen is a medical oncologist at Comprehensives Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN), who specializes in the treatment of breast cancer and actively participates in clinical research at the practice. Dr. Allen has been practicing in Las Vegas since completing her medical training in 1981. She is a past President of the Clark County Medical Society and Nevada State Medical Association and past Chairman of the Board of Blood Systems Incorporated. Dr. Allen also helped establish the Sunrise Breast Center at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center. Dr. Allen cares for her patients in two ways. First, through a multidisciplinary treatment approach, which she believes is essential because treatment planning involves many other specialists including breast surgeons, pathologists, radiation oncologists as well as nurses, pharmacists, members of the research team, counselors, etc. Second, every treatment plan is individualized according to the specifics of each case as well as the needs of the patient. She believes that it’s important that her patients are well cared for and also feel well cared for.
