If there were the option to pick zero stars, I would.

My partner was slowly recovering from a car accident. He was transferred to this hell-hole from the hospital. Due to careless nursing, he suffocated with his own breathing machine and died.

We couldn't sue or anything because they said that it was his fault, that he had pulled his equipment himself... despite nurses being in his room when all was happening, they didn't know how to save his life.

If you don't want your loved ones or yourself to die, run away from this place like fire from water.

My sister recently spent 10 days here after being moved from Spring Valley Hospital where she was in ICU after heart valve replacement surgery. When shecwas first transferred we were horrified after reading the reviews. The facility is older but very clean. The staff, from reception to charge nurses, were helpful, attentive and professional. She got the physical therapy she needed and was released when she completed the required tests. Unfortunately these hospitals don't discharge until late evening and she left in a freezing rain storm in the dark of night. All in all the experience was positive. Some of the reviews on yelp are old.

horrific place

I was a employee here admistration sucks they harrass their employees they violate all employee rights, and infection control is horrible ,ive seen housekeeping clean isolation rooms and with the same cloth go wipe a patients table they have to eat off of,the Rns take 2 to 4 hours to repond to medication requests, uncaped needles left in rooms,i saw a patient meds left on a table as another resident almost took meds meant for another patient luckly i saw this and prevented the patient from taking those meds,.....dont allow your family member here and they are building another hospital called Mountains Edge dont be fooled they are just transferring some employees to this facility again dont let your family member or your self go there...

I made the mistake of allowing my husband to be taken from Summerlin hospital to this hellhole for his rehab and now I have no husband. His surgery was a hip replacement and he was supposed to get therapy not death. Thanks to this hole they not only gave him insulin and then had to give him something to get his sugar back up but they allowede his blood pressure to go to 212/90 and had nothing to help get it back down till it could be delivered from the pharmacy according to the RN over seeing my husband that day. Three times I had the dietician come to the room because I had requested that they not give my husband fish or chicken and they would send it to him anyway and them ask me why couldn't I bring him food. They were being paid $1,000 a day for the care of my husband according to Senior Dimension rep and I ask why they weren't able to feed him. To my horror one night at 9:30 I had called my husband and ask had he been given his supper and he told me he couldn't eat it so he had ask for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I ask him if he had gotten it and he said no, well I hear the nurse so I ask him to ask her if he could get his sandwich and she told him it was on the desk with a container of milk. I wonder how long it would have been there if I had not ask about it because he had requested it when he couldn't eat the supper they had given him and he still had not been fed at 9:30 that night. I miss my husband dearly and would give my life not to have had him ever have to go to this horrible place so they could legally murder him and cause him more pain than any human should have to suffer. I had ask the rep for the insurance to please get me another doctor after I had not been able to get the doc on duty to even talk to me and that never happened either. If you love your loved one do not and I repeat do not allow any doctor or any one to send your loved one to this house of horrors. If there were some way to get the state to close this it should be done as they are breaking laws every day they are open.I have to give this place a rating toget this posted so the 1 I am giving it is not the truth. It should be a negative 1,000,000 and that would still be to high.

disgusting

Like something out of a horror movie.Taken out of the recovery room after surgery at spring valley at midnight in a old delivery van and dumped at harmon. That was the best part. Warehoused in an over crowed understaffed hell hole.Would rather die in the gutter than ever end up in this abusive environment of filth and incompetence. Thanks swm.

WORST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN. My grandfather had one foot in the grave. This place is a DEATH HOLE. Th care here is terrible, there is a great lack of compassion, the place is unsanitary, and anything you can think of that you don't want in a hospital, this place HAS. If you have an elderly person needing to go to a rehab center, I am begging you to NOT SEND THE, HERE. PLEASE don't make the same mistake I did.

The worst fake hospital in the awful Nevada medical care system. I am a physician and found out my mother was here. The staff is incompetent, hardly speaks English, and is just a worn down and disgusting place. This place should be shut down. That is why they are being sued!!!

Unfortunately, due to the stup...

Unfortunately, due to the stupidity of Senior Dimensions and United Healthcare, my mother has been sent to yet another of their contracted snakepit "rehab" hospitals - her first encounter was 3 years at Vegas Valley, an affiliate of Harmon Rehab. I expect that she will not get adequate care while at Harmon to prepare her for an upcoming procedure - she has just been set aside by her insurance carrier. A sad commentary to the treatment of our elderly. Hoping that the staff at Harmon at least have English as their first language - unlike Vegas Valley Rehab. But I'm sure that is just a pipe dream. Watching you Harmon.

Oh, and the one star rating is only given because the review page insisted I give one - too bad 0 stars is not a choice.

They almost killed me twice!

This was the worst place and experience of my life. I came out of my second coma to find myself, again, at Harmon rehab. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease and nobody there knew anything about it. My family researched it, told me about it and then I had to monitor every meal from then on. When I tried to explain to the staff that I couldn't eat the food, they didn't know enough english to understand. They treated me like I had anorexia instead of a food allergy. They would make me sit in front of the nurses station and eat food that I knew was wrong. In the beginning, I was in diapers and when I came to, I asked for a clean one, I was informed that I was only allowed 2 per day! I never received a shower after 3 weeks nor fresh sheets, blankets, towels, etc. my roommate had 20 guests at one time and nobody did anything about it. They did not leave until 10 pm and did a loud prayer circle before leaving. The floors were NEVER mopped, they said it was due to the guests of my roommate, shouln't they have done something about that?! I never received medication on time and I still suffer from post traumatic stress from being there. I have nightmares every night fearing I will wake up there again. Please don't allow anyone you love to suffer there. Move them out and believe the horror stories they tell you. It is all true!

My husband had been transfered...

My husband had been transfered here and is still in there after a week. The whole time he was there, they did not change his bed linens or even give him a bath. He had wet his bed, and when I arrived later that evening after work, he was still sitting in the same sheets...he has not received any type of rehab, after they said he was to have therapy on the first day, and he still has not received any. The nurses all seem like you are putting them out when you ask them for any kind of information or help. The first night my husband was there, his roommate nearly died because the nurses gave him the wrong medication. Since my husband, has been here his blood pressure has been sky high...and they still seem like its not a big deal. I am getting my husband out NOW!!! THis place definitely needs to be shut down immediately!!! If you have a loved one, do not let them come to Harmon...absolutely awful!!!

Commit suicide before going here!!!

My mom was just released from this HORRIBLE place after being there for 5 weeks. I literally walked out of there one day after finding her sitting in her own crap which had hardened because she had been sitting in it for so long, and I thought to myself...this place makes me want to commit suicide when I'm 70 so I never have to be in a place like this. The food is the most disgusting stuff you have ever seen. It looks like something my dog crapped out and they covered with gravy --even the doctor said the breakfast alone (which is a super simple meal) is powdered eggs and blah paste cereal. NOW lets get to the REALLY horrible part. My mom was there 5 weeks. She had 1 shower in all that time!!! The only reason she got that is because I insisted and helped the CNA do it. I even helped her pick my mom up out of her wheelchair and put her on a commode. I washed her hair in her bed and changed her bedding afterwards. I was the only one who ever cleaned her dentures. She sat in her poop so many times that she ended up with bacterial infections in her poop and on isolation. They left my mom laying on her back in the same position all day long. It's a stinking rehab facility (so they claim), but they don't do any rehab on the weekends so they patient sits there for 2 days in the same position. They won't get her up in a chair because the nurse's say that's the rehab people's job and they aren't supposed to do any lifting. WHAT A JOKE!!! The doctor kept saying that they were trying to keep her in this facility because VEGAS VALLEY REHAB was a worse place. WRONG!!!! My mom was finally transferred to VEGAS VALLEY 2 days ago. The first night she was there, the nurse was all prepared for her, got her settled in and made comfortable. The next morning took her to the shower! She's had 2 showers already. She's had rehab (which they even do on the weekends and Harmon does not). They come in to check on her constantly. These people are REAL nurses who care about the patients. The ones at Harmon look at you with a blank look on their face and most of the time can't even answer your questions. The charge nurse (at Harmon) had to ask a doctor how to get ahold of my mom's doctor one night when I asked....HELLO? ---any charge nurse I've ever seen has all the doctor's phone numbers at hand and can easily get them on the phone. That's her job. Someone needs to really check on Harmon rehab and close it down if they need to. It's an absolutely horrible place. Don't let your loved one be put there!

My name is Vera. I'm 82 years old, I was in this hospital and discharged Feb 19th 2010.

I want to tel lyou about this wonderful nurse, her name is Judy, she is so caring understanding.

The most wonderful nurse, she has time to listen to your problems.

They are so lucky to have such a wonderful nurse at this hospital. I don't know what you pay her, but it isn't enough. If every nurse was like her, they wouldn't have no complaints or problems.

I will always remember her how good she was to me, and with all the other patients.

I'm at home now, not doing so good but with God's help I'm going to make it.

Thanks,

Vera

death trap

My dad was admitted twice to the dump they call a medical and rehab center. He passed away 11/09. My family and I spent every day there with him until we decided we could take care of him better at home. There were days we were there where no staff members even came in his room once to check on him. It seems if you would like to reach the head of nursing Jan just go outside and you can find her with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth !!!!! She has got to be one of the most unprofessional persons I have ever had to deal with in my life.DO NOT LEAVE YOUR LOVED ONE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
