If you 19re thinking about put...

Happy Adult Care, Las Vegas, NV. If you are thinking about putting your loved one in Happy Adult Care you need to really check them out. After struggling for a year and a half, I was desperate to place my 85 year old mother who suffers from alzheimer's, dementia and delusions in a group home. Another assisted living facility gave one of the kids that run the sedona sunset location my phone number. This kid told me he owned a beautiful group home and he had years of training and working with people like mom. He told me he would keep moms mind busy by having he work in his beautiful garden and they encouraged a family atmosphere where mom could help set the dinner table and participate in family style activities.

He told me the room was normally $3800 a month but he would let mom in for $3000 a month. He promised the stars and I fell for it. I wrote a pro rated check for $2300 and let the hospital send mom there. I went to visit the next day. This house was only licensed for 2 people with a male caregiver. Her room was as big as a small apartment and only furnished with a twin bed and a old beat up nightstand. The back yard where the garden was supposed to be was as big as my bathroom and nothing but dirt. No family atmosphere, no garden, nothing but a disabled man in one room, mom in the other room and a excellent care giver who lives like a hostage working 24/7/365.

I went through the roof and asked where was the garden and the family atmosphere? They told me I had misunderstood and those were future plans. I told them I would be back Monday to pick mom up and pay them a daily rate and asked where the check was that I gave them. He told me his partner was out of town and he would contact me monday morning. My banker called Monday morning and told me some kid was at our bank trying to cash that check that I had stopped.

Happy adult care called me and told me that instead of me paying $100 a day the price was now $175 a day and I better bring the money or I couldn't pick up mom. I paid the $700 and feel they burned me for an extra $300. I only write this to warn people to make sure you check out happy adult care because they have three locations and I don't want anyone to be lied and mislead to like I was. I don't blame them, I blame myself for falling for there con. I had been warned that there were homes out there that didn't give a dam about mom, they just wanted to fill beds and get my money. Don't fall for it like I did.

This review is my personal opinion and experience with happy adult care and has nothing to do with this site you're reading it on.
