This is not a rescue. The parrots suffer. The management has no regard for the parrots. The reasons for the terrible conditions are the weather and breeders???? This is creepy sad and someone needs to help those birds. A few years ago they had a fire and over 1000 parrots died.

Be prepared to see parrots in stuck in cages. It’s traumatic. There are beautiful trees on the property and the birds must live in cages? What is their objective?

May GOD be with you if you wish to work hereIm going to start off with the horrendous Rat/mouse infestation they have. I used to walk in every morning to see the poor birds LITERALLY digging through a top layer of rodent feces to get to their food. The smell and fumes from the rodent urine is so heavy in the aviaries I can barely breath let alone the animals that live in it every day. There is RAT/mouse feces on every possible surface there because they dont want to exterminate and they wont but the great thing about that is they WILL make you clean up after it. When youre hired you are expecting to just take care of the birds but what you dont know is that they will make you take care of the infestation with no training and no gear except for flimsy masks and gloves they said they wont provide for us unless they can get them for free. You will have to set traps, clean the traps, and set the mice loose while bleaching the floors covered in urine and there is no way around it.If you thought that was bad it gets much worse. The manager is a horrible person overall. You will NOT feel safe in the work place. She is the most condescending bully you will ever meet. She targets employees one by one by talking down to them every day and finding ways to make you quit. You will never experience such belittling in your life and you will also be punished for asking how to do your job when youre new. Her MO is the to thin the herd as much as she can and when that employee finally leaves because of the verbal abuse she goes on to the next employee to drive them out of there. It doesnt matter how hard you work or how much dedication you put into the place because she WILL come after you. I get the impression that she hires people just to mess them up. Why does she do this to innocent hard working people????? Is it to make her feel better about herself????? I have seen this happen to too many innocent employees and volunteers. Dont even think you get to put a 2 week notice in this place because they will let you go right then and there. If you complain about anything no matter how small it is it will come back and bite you in the butt real quick. If the manager decides she doesnt like what you complained about you will walk in the next morning to find she cut your hours without notice. Please think twice before ever considering this place for hire. Kelly if youre reading this please get out of there as soon as possible. She is coming for you next.
