Tom Raley opened his first Raley s store in Placerville, Calif., in 1935. Raley's is a privately owned supermarket chain that offers a variety of ready-to-eat food products, meals and services. It features roasted turkey breasts, deli meats and salads, pizzas and grilled chicken. The company also offers soups, sandwiches, cakes and cinnamon rolls. It provides online recipes for various food items, including creamy cheese sauce, garlic chicken, bacon cheeseburgers, bean salad, wrapped apple slices and melon coladas. In addition, many of the company's stores have pharmacy care centers with pharmacists who provide drug information and consultation services. Raley s supports Food For Families, which is a nonprofit program that donates dry groceries to several food banks throughout Northern California, Nevada and New Mexico. The company also sponsors various racing programs. It offers a Quality of Life card that supports schools and youth educational organizations. Raley's maintains a store in Las Vegas.
