We have been serving patients in the Sacramento Area and beyond as Phillip A. Danz and Associates, providing impression fitted, hand sculptured and hand painted ocular prostheses (artificial eyes) for over 46 years, and we are proud to announce our newest location in Las Vegas as Ocular Artists, Inc.

Eric M. Lindsey is the Protege of Phillip A. Danz, a fourth generation eye maker with roots in German glass eye making.  Eric  is a fine artist and worked with Mr. Danz for over five years before becoming president and allowing Mr. Danz to retire.  We are skilled in the fitting of thin shell prostheses (scleral shell prostheses) over blind, disfigured eyes (phthisis bulbi).

We are also experienced with "state of the art" orbital implants such as the coraline (Bioeye), Medpor and all pegging systems.

He was OK on initial visit, but I came back after 3 years and wanted to have adjustments made (which I should have done a lot sooner because I was unhappy with the fit from the start) he told me I'd need to have a new eye made and pay again. When I first had the eye made and complained about the fit he told me to give it time. He also said, "there's only so much I can do with a piece of plastic". He wanted to give it a Polish to see if that helped them charged me $100 for a Polish that took 2 minutes. I'll be traveling to California for someone more professional next time I pay 3k for another eye.

Kellie Cook — 5 starMy daughter had a piece of iron go through her eye when she was only 2 years old. It was the worst day of my life! Thankfully she still has her eyeball but it is sunken in and there is no color anymore. We were sent to a prosthetic doctor to get the prosthetic lens to ensure she has the pressure on her bones so they will grow with her body and so her eye can look as normal as possible. Her first lens was not made by Eric. We had the hardest time getting her to wear it because it did not fit right and it was very uncomfortable for her. And I must say it looked horrible! If she does not wear her lens she will have to have her eyeball removed and have an orbiter I think is what its called implanted in the back of her eye sockett and then a prosthetic over that. As a mother I don't think I will ever be prepared for that! We moved to las Vegas and I found Eric Lindsey on line and got my daughter right in to see him! He is AMAZING!!! He took the time and patience to make sure her lens was right. And it looks Fantastic! I can not explain the feeling when someone says she has the most beautiful eyes! They have no idea that she even has a prosthetic eye!!! I am so thankfull to you Eric and I know Keltzie is as well!! She has no problem wearing the lens you made her. I think when she looks at herself in the mirror she herself is amazed because it looks so real!!! Thank you so so much!
