Chef Emeril Lagasse recently partnered with old friends at the Rockwell Group, to renovate Emeril's New Orleans Fish House in the MGM Grand Hotel. The spacious restaurant, seating 225 people, was renovated to reflect the origin of Emeril's seafood creations. From the soft glowing blues, to the wave like wood accents, to the metal wavy sculptures (looking like seaweed flowing with the underwater current) running up the sand colored walls, to the fish scale tiles and aqua colored leathers in the patio area - one would think that they are dining at the palace of King Neptune. One thing that was not renovated was Emeril's commitment to using fresh, top quality ingredients in the dishes he creates and employs cottage industry ranchers, farmers and fisherman to ensure that he will always get the best for his restaurants. He tirelessly explores the Gulf waters and the Louisiana countryside to discover untapped sources for delicious and interesting food experiences.

Terrible food

Me and my boyfriend went to Vegas last month just for the weekend and decided to eat at Emerils Fish house. My boyfriend ordered the gumbo and it was terrible !! There was no shrimp in it and it tasted like it came out of a can he spoke with the waiter and he said that they were rock shrimp so there small lol!! ummm you should still be able to see them!! So he sent back the gumbo and got a po boy the bread was really hard so he just ate the meat inside he told the waiter and he said he would let the chef know. Our lunch was very disappointing so much so that I went to Emerils website and sent an email I received a callback from Scott Barber (director of operations) 702-429-3827. He spoke with my boyfriend and was very condescending and went on to tell him that their chefs are sent to school for $3k and if you have never been to Louisianna then how would you know good gumbo? wow talk about terrible customer service and ended the call with " I'm not going to comp you the next time your out here but maybe I'll buy you a sandwich what an a&^hole!! I did email them after that to let them know how Rude scott barber was but SURPRISE NO REPSONSE !! so just to let others know I hope you have a better experience than we did !
