The movers either lost or forgot to take several boxes off the truck and now I have to replace these items with my own money. At the moment I am making my 8 year old spaghetti with no strainer nor bowls for her to eat out of. All of these items were in the boxes the movers lost. Also my kitchen table is wobbling because they didn't reassemble it properly. During the move the movers repeatedly said it was their third move that day I and actually felt like I was inconveniencing them to do the move. I offered them water and gave them Gatorades. They seemed to just want to get it over and go home. I honestly feel bad writing a negative review. I really don't mind the bad service or my wobbly table, although I do mind all the items I have to replace with my own money. This is unacceptable!!

I had a very difficult move. Four bedroom house packed with 23 years worth of me and my family's lives. These guys made it very easy. Polite and helpful. One of them very well saved my dog's life as well. My retriever got loose chasing a cat and broke its leg in a grate. One of the movers saw what happened and got a hold of my dog while it was freaking out and headed for the street. It's a busy street and a couple dogs have been hit on it. He helped me secure her in my car and I took her to the vets. I was gone for three hours and when I came back everything was done and ready to go to the new house. I've moved many times and this was by far the easiest. If it wasn't for the dog I'd say it was a great day. Also there was not a thing broken or wall scratched. That's a first. I have already recommened Discount Mover to a couple friends and I'm recommending them now here.

I would only recommend this moving company if you enjoy having the movers show up three hours late, causing you to not be at your new residence when the cable company arrives (on time) to hook up your cable, telephone and Internet services. I would only recommend this moving company if you enjoy working harder and with more hustle than the people you paid to do it. I would only recommend this company if you like having your furniture banged up and broken, and pieces lost - like a leg to the kitchen table. Yeah, a 3-legged table is real handy! It should look nice right next to my microwave stand that is missing a coaster.



I would only recommend this company if you enjoy having the mover make comments about your intimate items or any "adult material" you might have when your husband is not there. I would only recommend this company if you enjoy being bait and switched when they try to charge you double what you were quoted over the phone on account of the fact that the mover who had been there the longest was moving like a snail. I would only recommend this company if you enjoy having the movers ask to use YOUR cell phone to call in to the supervisor at the last possible minute to try to get that double billing. I would only recommend this company if you want movers who talk more than they move. I would only recommend this company if you enjoy having new employees trained on the finer points of professional moving on YOUR dime. I would only recommend this company if you want a BIG FAT HEADACHE on moving day!



In other words, I would not recommend this company. The owner seemed friendly enough when I scheduled the move, and the new guy who was being trained was a hard worker, and was kind and considerate. Unfortunately, the guy who had been there longer and seemed to be in charge of the move, and it was he who made the whole thing a complete nightmare.
