First time visit and was very pleased... Staff greeted me as I approached the counter. I love a business that provides excellent customer service. Dr. Lopez was very nice and i didn't have to wait around for his arrival.. The assistants were very nice made me feel welcomed..

I walked into my apt 15 min early and found the front desk receptionist dealing with personal issues on the phone, while I waited to check in and begin my new patient paperwork. After I completed all the paper work I was then told I had a copay for a preventive service which I verified with my ins that was 100% covered. I was then told that I would have to wait until they spoke with the dr. which took another hour. I was then told no I had to pay the copay which I didn't owe to begin with. when I asked the front desk person to call my ins, she stated that she had. when I asked to know who she spoke to she said she verified my ins online. I then stated to her that it should show 100% covered. then she told me the dr called my ins personally and told my ins that he would be charging me and that they okayed. Which I then contacted my ins and they stated that was incorrect and untrue. I called the dr office back and spoke with the office mananger who I found out was the lady sitting upfront the entire time next to the staff that was refusing to see me. and her response was they have issues with insurances not paying 100%. in return I did let her know that what she was doing is wrong, and she shouldn't be charging. people what they don't owe. and the manager is the dr. wife.

This was my second and LAST visit to Dr. Lopez-Benitez for an annual Pap smear. I wanted to discuss Peri-menopause with him and asked several times to have my hormone levels tested, he refused, dismissing me by saying "Why even check it, it won't change my mind about anything". He was not interested in my concerns in the slightest. When I did push him to answer my questions, he rolled his eyes. Ladies we have more choices out there and I personally think that given a choice, we should choose someone that takes the time to answer our questions, especially when it comes to reproduction. It felt like going back into a 1950's Dr. office. His staff was also rude, short and unconcerned. They were too busy with their personal phone calls to take care of patients.
