I am only happy with the end product I received from Brandon Iron...My gates look awesome but the lack of communication and service makes me regret the whole experience. With my written proposal from Brandon himself I had a time frame of 1-3 weeks for completion from date of acceptance.. Five weeks later and numerous phone calls to the company I finally have finished gates installed.. Now I gave them a week extra due to needing a block wall completed to get accurate measurements for one gate but even with that extra week there was no meeting the timeframe quoted... It took 11 days just to gt a written proposal for the work I needed done as well... They are sure quick to take a deposit and final payment but trying to get simple questions answered is worse than talking to a 3 yr old. The office has no clue on status of jobs, don't make return phone calls when promised. It is impossible to reach Brandon who apparently has all the information on everything that is going on.. God forbid Brandon gets sick the whole place apparently will have to shut down. In my experience this is a poor way to run a service business... Only after calling and complaining that communication sucks did I get what seemed like a rushed order to actually complete my products any sooner... I'm sure if I didn't call and demand a time frame for completion I would still be waiting... The installation took seperate trips on two different days because no one communicated to them they needed the core drilling tool to do my installation. Apparently as confirmed by the great installation guys they have communication issues as well..... I will not recommend Brandon Iron to anyone for future work.. There are plenty of other choices for iron work in town, Look else where... Hard to believe this company has been around as long as it has....

Brandon Iron built the metal railings for a new patio deck. The owner, Brandon, came out to take the measurements and verify the correct type of trim to match the in-place railings.



First they used the wrong decorative rings and had to cut them out, replace them, and re-powder coat. Next, when they delivered the railings, they didn't fit - too tall!



After checking, the drawing measurements were correct, the shop cut all the stiles 3" too long. They took them back to the shop, cut the 3" off of all the stiles, re-welded them, and ran the powder coat again.



They were re-delivered and installed, but the installer put the rails in crooked, with the bolts sticking out. But even worse, the top railing has weld splatter under the powder coat causing very sharp edges to stick out.



The protrusions are so sharp, they cut the hand of a guest sliding their hand across the top rail. In addition, the powder coat did not stick where they cut and re-welded the stiles, so they'll start to rust immediately.



The prime contractor for the addition said Brandon would come out again, take the railings back to the shop and re-work them for the fourth time. However, when Brandon called to set the appointment he had a real attitude that they had done nothing wrong, and implied all the problems were someone else fault. In fact, he didn't even remember what the specific problems were with the railings - not very reassuring.



Bottom line, as he carried on with his rant over the phone, I hung up on him. We now must pay additional costs we hadn't counted on to have a professional correct all the mistakes and terrible workmanship of Brandon Iron.



PS - Apparently Brandon is the son of the man who originally started the business. Unfortunately, he has a lot to learn about product quality AND customer relations.
