The other review on here I believe is directed at the Middle School not the Community School. Becker Middle School is a typical Las Vegas Middle School which means the person who wrote the other review is absolutely correct. However, my kids attend the community school for guitar lessons, tot ballet, and kiddie cooking and they are pretty good. A little un-organized but it is a community school not a private owned place so I guess it is to be expected. The Tai-Kwan-Do and guitar teacher are fantastic and the kids always have a great time!

I have had the worst experience at Becker. My son is a 6th grader. He has had many on going problems with bullying. Becker claims to be a "No Bullying Tolorance" school. Thats totally untrue. These attacks went not only un-dealt with, I wasn't even called to be informed of these attacks. My son has filled out a number of incident reports that the office has so convieniently lost. To my understanding the less incident reports they have to file with CCSD the higher their scores are or remain.

I am DISGUSTED with KAREN WEST principal of Becker as well as Kim Cunningham the dean. I had went into the office to get a handle on all of this and they claimed that misplace the report. The 1st time I had gone into Becker to speak with the dean in reguards to bullying, my son was told to toughen up, Is that how you deal with it, is that how you teach our children today? TOUGHEN UP? I was beside myself.

I have zero faith in this school district. I went as far as the assist. of the north west super intendant. Everybody involved with CCSD has shown me and my kids and all of the community to turn your head when sistuations arise.

Better off not dealing with it, maybe it will just go away. Thats exactly what they wanted me to do. GO AWAY.

How dare they call themselves teachers. They should be ashamed of themselves. This town never seizes to amaze me on it's disfunction and disfunction that they are teaching to our children. They should be forced to resign.

Thank you, and hopefully you will get some concerned parents with this, Let them know whats really going on in their local school.
