In response to Adell S.’s review. *not affiliated with AMR in any capacity*
1.) Your complaint begins with you attempting to leave from a doctors office, not a hospital. So one could assume you and your “extremely” sick spouse have already been seen and released from his appointment with no medical emergency observed by a doctor and ultimately cleared medically to be transported home by you, at your convenience.
2.) Judging by the laundry list of ailments your spouse has, it is likely you and/or your spouse have a handicapped placard and we’re parked at or near the office entrance in said emergency vehicle/handicapped zone.
3.) The AMR emergency ambulance (which you stated your spouse has needed to use previous for quick transport during a life threatening medical emergency) we could assume parked nearest the main entrance, where a stretcher is able to be freely mobilized; I.e., the handicapped wheelchair entrance - blocking your vehicle attempting to leave from the doctors office.
4.) You stated the driver of the ambulance “was rude” in informing your spouse they will be parked for a couple of minutes. If an ambulance is arriving at a private doctors practice and not a hospital, wouldn’t logic dictate maybe someone inside is having an actual medical emergency? One bad enough to need immediate transport to a more ell equipped facility for life saving treatment; like a hospital? The Golden Rule would also apply to this situation. If your spouse was the patient needing the emergency transport you would be the first person defending their parking choice to be able to get to the most urgent care.
5.) You are aware of your spouses lengthy medical history and we can assume you are his caretaker. With that, how is the responding paramedic responsible for your spouses lack of dietary care? You [caretaker] should be prepared for any emergency dietary need during outings. Snacks are not hard to keep on your person in case of emergency.

In conclusion: Shut up Adell.

driver blocked me in at dr office. while my truck was running. I was trying to get my brittle diabetic, 5 way bypass heart patient home. he had been up with no food since 6am. driver was very rude to my husband. told him just a few minutes. I have just paid a $4000.00 bill for your services on January 24 to take same said husband to desert springs hospital for pneumonia and sepsis. DO NOT APPRECIATE THE RUDE DRIVER ON TRUCK #186. HE PARKED BEHIND MY RUNNING TRUCK SO I COULDN'T GET OUT. WHY BE RUDE TO A MAN WHO TELLS THE DRIVER HE NEEDS OUT TO GO HOME TO EAT OR GO IN TO DIABETIC SHOCK??? OR WORSE
