Caused more problems than they fixed!!

My car won't start at my home. I call them up and we agree on the phone that it's more likely to be the starter than anything else, A very unprofessional-looking guy comes to my house (but I decide to give him a chance) with not a new starter, but a new battery. He checks my battery and decides that's not the problem.

He then decides to take half of the car apart to "turn the motor by hand" to make sure it's not that. That took hours, and by the time he decided the starter needed replacing the auto parts store was closed. He lets the car down from the jack so hard with the wheels turned that I swear the car has an alignment problem now.

Day two, he comes with a starter and proceeds to replace the old one, cursing and swearing in nearly every sentence (luckily he showed some manners when my 10-yr-old came out). He does finish that, but broke off a connector and spilled fluid on my driveway in the process. We now have to replace the connector. - And I spend a second day wiping the greasy hand prints off of both our cars' paint jobs.

Day three, he comes with the connector, replaces the fluid, all no charge. But the money he charged me to fix the starter was much more than the average for this repair according to the internet. - And I wiped down our paint jobs again.

So three days without my car, but it's fixed, right? Nope...

Three days later the engine light comes on, and we noticed we used a quarter tank of gas on 15 miles. We take it to a shop and they point to a hose that was not connected - and the connector is missing also. After a few starts later that day, the engine light goes out.

The next day the car won't start in my driveway, and we're back where we began. I tow it to a shop (which I guess I should have done in the first place) and they found that a battery cable was faulty and fixed it for fifty bucks.

I was charged nearly ten times that amount by Accurate Mobile Mechanics, and I had problems for nearly a week. AND by the way, they refused to refund any part of what they charged me when I complained. So much for trying a new way to fix my car!
