claimed to have 20 yrs experience, talked a great talk, made us feel really comfortable to use him. Assured us of the experience he and his crew had, and always complete customer satisfaction. No bad reviews, everything looked great, even showed us great pics of previous and current jobs. We have a basic kitchen no tricky cuts. We had him do flat edge on the granite for a clean modern look. No problem he said, showed us pics of jobs he was currently doing with the same edge. For some reason he brought all of our countertops with the edges tapered up at the ends. 2 inch edge in middle of countertop and tapered up to 1 3/4 to 1 1/2 iches on edges. looked rediculous! workers blamed machine that they cut granite with, and Shimi said it looked fine- no problem that he could see! Are you Kidding Me! So not only did we feel like we were not being listened to about our unhappiness with the job we had to argue with him to fix it too? Our contract said 1 3/4 for edge- standard- shouldnt be a problem for someone with so much experience. His guys came to fix it the best they could, still have areas that are 1 1/2 iches instead of 1 3/4 like contract said. I should have made him tear it out and redo on his own $ but was so tired of dealing with him. We asked him to come by, texted him, made sure he knew we wanted him here when his crew came the first time to try and fix, he never showed, just his crew came. Which was a waste of time because they didnt want to do anything without Shimi seeing first. Thats why we had asked him to come with crew in the first place! you would of thought it would have been important for him to see and make sure things were being taken care of. Really hard to get a hold of him after we let him know we were unhappy with the job. When he finally came almost 2 wks later, I have to argue with him to fix it? I feel sick to my stomach everytime i look at it. We are not happy with the edging- it should all be the same size. Would not use again- ever! Had gotten us a great price on backsplash, but I don't dare use him again. It stinks when there are issues that come up but even worse when you have someone who doesn't do whatever it takes to make it right.
