After speaking with the warranty company, they told us they covered everything except the vent modification. And it was an $85 fee that must be paid before the tech would show up to do the work. At this time, my family of 5 had been without hot water for a week. So my wife agreed to pay the bill upfront.

When the tech finally came to do the work, my father was home to let him in. I told my father to watch what the tech had to do to the vent. He even asked the tech about the vent when he noticed nothing being done with it and Max said "we have to use the existing vent, we are not allowed to. We have to vent it through the existing vent".

To my surprise when I came home, Max had not even modified the vent. Thank goodness I had before pictures!! The pictures and full story are on the company's Yelp listing.

I will now be contacting the Nevada State Contractors Board to report this companies criminal activity.

They installed a water heater 8 weeks ago. They over charged for all materials. It has failed inspection numerous times. It is now 8 weeks since they installed and still has not passed inspection and now the city tells us the permit has not been paid. It's a water heater. Not exactly rocket science. Horrible experience. Stay away from this company!
