Me and my daughter have recently put down a deposit on the German Shepherd outside of petland but we did go there to purchase their crate along with all the goodies that come with it the gentleman that helped us and I wish I remembered his name and the manager were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond finding us things that we were gathering for when we get the new puppy. Even though they knew we had already purchased a puppy elsewhere they still let us play with a couple of them and provided us plenty of information the manager actually owns a couple German Shepherds and explained a lot of interesting things to my daughter on a couple of occasions. I'll be up front and say that I thought petland would be more expensive for their products but they are actually on par with everybody else and they are not pushy into getting you to buy a puppy. We will be back and hope that we have the same experience time and time again. and I apologize that I forgot the gentleman's name and the manager but it was around 7:00 p.m. Sunday

Service was very poor, there were several girls standing around the counter then they all walked away without providing me or anyone else standing there any service. Finally another girl came up and tried to help me, she couldn't take my return but mentioned the product I purchased "never worked" so made me wonder why they bothered to sell it. She called the manager up who grabbed the water bottle ran to the back didn't say anything to anyone and returned and said well "this one works" and that she couldn't offer me a refund. For all I know since they "never work" this manager could have grabbed one out of the back they had doctored up to make it not leak and brought it back up. Very poor customer service and only there to make money off of people. Buyer beware obviously selling substandard products.

Do not buy pets from this store. The pet counselors are great but management is only concerned about making a profit. They encouraged me to visit a dog I placed a deposit on saying that no one would be giving her any love and then after many days of visits they determined she had a congenital hip problem which is well known of golden retriever breeds and sent her back to the breeder before they even told us we couldnt buy her. Didn't let us say goodbye to her and I would have taken her anyways. When I asked for the breeder info so I could contact them to arrange taking ownership I was told that info is confidential. Horrible people with no compassion who do not operate the way their website advertises. There is a reason they dont allow public comments on their page because its bad advertisement. Adopt a dog from a pound because Petland confirmed to me that they cant guarantee the pedigree of dogs they receive or their health. I guess if that warranty offered is too much risk they just send the puppies back.

Extremely lousy service, no one picks up the phone when you ask for items. Cashier is clueless. Employees are extremely apathetic and clearly hourly clock-punchers. There is a Petsmart across the street in Largo Mall with much better selection and employees. Also a Pets Supplies Plus in Pinellas Park, very nice folks and variety there. I would AVOID this place like the plague. They simply don't care.

I realized it was a year ago I bought Ripley at Petland of Largo. Wanted to send a little progress report. She goes to work with me, has traveled on planes to different states. Makes friends with everyone she meets. Loves to be outside running with other dogs no matter what their size. Playing fetch with her ball or rolling in the grass. Ripley has the sweetest face, the kindest disposition, is healthy, happy and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. Thank you again for my sweet Ripley!

The staff at Petland of Largo is so knowledgeable and it's apparent that they all love animals. I trust a store that feeds their own pets the same stuff they recommend to you. I would definitely recommend this store for all of your pet needs.

Always enjoy coming to this store. It's the only place I buy food for my animals. The staff is wonderful and always very helpful. Very convenient location, and wonderful prices.

Petland of Largo store with good looking setup clean store and helpful staff. They have a good variety of fish, I haven't cycled my new fish tank so I asked if they could hold a koi for a week and they said no problem, cool place great prices, recommend .

Puppies are all ill, loaded with parasites, and are purchased from puppy mills. Health certificates indicate healthy but the puppy is dying of parvo or pneumonia. Staff knows nothing off diseases and proper disinfecting techniques. Company is evil

I came into this store 3 days in a row looking for just the right dog for our family. The staff was patient and understanding with me coming so often. Turns out, I didn't find the right dog, They found me! We chose right at closing time but they did not rush us. They took their time to explain the needs of my new baby and answered all questions. I am very pleased with this shop.

This pet store is great. One of the employees helped me and told me cool discounts that not many people know about supposedly. We brought our kitty to get washed here and were super pleased! The prices are totally affordable, the staff was awesome, and when we picked up our cat he smelled like blueberries! Great company

My puppy goes shopping here EVERYDAY!!! OOOKKAY!!! The nicest staff welcomes him with a belly rub! He eats the best organic / grain free wet /dry foods available. I enjoy spoiling him , so thats why we visit Petlandargo.

Such a great place! Boyfriend and I adopted a kitten from here and he's grown into such the amazing cat; even friends that come over and don't like cats.. Fall in love with him! He's so animated and playful. The staff was helpful with the adoption process and everything went quick and smooth. I like how they take the time to interview you to make sure their animals are going to a good home. Can't wait until the expansion is revealed! Thanks guys!!

We absolutely love this store. We have been coming to this store for more than 20 years. The staff is helpful and goes out of their way to make sure that we find what we need and that it is the right product for our needs. My kids really enjoy playing with the animals. Over the years, we have purchased fish, hamsters, parakeet and a Lab puppy. Our son really wants a bearded dragon. Give them a try - they are better than any of the other stores in the area.

Best pets and supplies in the Tampa Bay area My wife and I thought about getting a puppy for a long time. Well last year, we were at the movies in the Largo Mall when we visited the Petland store next to the movie theater. They have a large selection of puppies and we spent a long time playing with many of them. The staff was very helpful and patient with us as played with each one. They asked about our lifestyle and family and helped us pick out a Labrador Retriever. He is just the best dog in the world. We have been back to the Petland of Largo every month since to get dog food and Frontline. Their prices are amazing. I am not sure how they beat Petsmart prices but they are always lower.

NOOOOOOOOO! DO NOT BUY AN ANIMAL FROM ANY PETLAND!!!! Animals are over priced and DO come from puppy mills. Our first dachshund died in 2006 from health complications & we were dumb enough to buy a second one from them 2 years ago for $800 who's legs and chest are deformed, (pure bread huh?) He can hardly walk, he has skin problems and he just for no reason started having seizures. His ex-rays show he has serious spinal problems and petland says they'll credit us money towards the purchase of a new animal. WHY WOULD I WANT A NEW ANIMAL FROM THEM? We're out $800 and can now look forward to a life time (however long that may be) of continuous medical bills and prescriptions. Save yourself money and heartbreak, stay away from Petland stores in any location and find a reputable breeder.

My family has two dogs and a hamster from this store. They have taken great care of us over the past 10 years. They are helpful and have some great products. My kids love to play with different animals every time we go into the store.
