I've been calling and no answer!!! What other number can I call to? I have some pups that are dehydrated and hungry!!!!

I don't know why they have a dog pound if they don't answer I'm calling cuz I found a puppy and I think he is sick she can't move her legs

They killed my perfectly healthy male, neutered cats ...they knew exactly where the cats came from . They knew my address and did not have the decency to leave a note or even a citation that I would have gladly paid if I could have gotten my cats back. I hate living here and will move as soon as I can get the ...outta here. Sorry, am very upset even after 2 months.

I used to donate every year to LAPS :( not any more!



Actually the 1 star rating is too high for them, but that is the lowest.

LAPS and staff have received and continue to receive much negative attention lately, so I decided to check it out myself.

I used to think that the most thankless job would be with the parks and recreation department. Day after scorching day trying to keep what little the city has to offer clean and safe just to go back and do it again. Thank you for managing to beautify the city and in particular to the work you've done to the Zacate Creek. Haven't been there in a while but I still check it out when I pass by and smile and pray for rain. Keep up the great work!!!!!!

You have no idea .........It's a "LAST CHANCE" hospital/orphanage that runs 24 hrs a day but EVERYTHING must be done in 8 hrs with limited staff and funds and materials. Even then



I WOULD TELL MY BEST FRIEND AND ANYBODY ELSE WHO WILL LISTEN THAT IF I WERE AN UNWANTED ANIMAL I WOULD RATHER DIE OF PARVO AT THE SHELTER WHERE I MAY BE MERCIFULLY EUTHANIZED THAN BE RUN OVER BY A "CAR" OR STARVED TO DEATH.



As far as the staff is concerned you couldn't find a better bunch. They are more than just LONGTIME coworkers that know their duties and work well together, they are longtime friends and are good at making each other work hard. Despite the "sickness" and the neverending feeding and cleaning and disinfecting, the staff continue to do 24 hrs work in 8 hrs and hopefully less on Sunday and holidays when everybody else is off.



Going to te shelter is like going to GRANDMA'S house when ALL grandpets, great-grandpets, Etc. are there and they are all hungry and skinny and thirsty and it's miserably hot and need attention and need baths and need bottlefeeding and need and need......so next time you see a stray animal think of the WONDERFUL GRANDMAS that founded this non-profit shelter and how they must feel when all their human children do is complain about the deplorable living conditions but are really too busy to deal with it.



All the work there is hard and .... yes....it can be nasty and it's not for everyone but like at someone's overcrowded GRANDMA'S house there's lots of ways to help.



GRANDMAS' NON-PROFIT ANIMAL SHELTER NEEDS LOTS OF TLC

Four weeks ago I bought a puppy for my daughter from the Animal Shelter. Two days later it got sick and died of Parval according to vetinary. Went back to the Shelter and they told me I could choose another puppy but that I couldn't bring it home for six months becuase the disease last a minimum of six month. I decided to get the puppy and took it to my sister in laws home. The day after I got it the puppy got sick and diagnosed with Parval. I began to put one and one together. When we visited the shelter for the second time we went 3 times and each time the puppy was moved from one kennel to another and placed with different puppies. Then I thought, if they say I can't bring the puppy home because my home is infested with the disease then so is the shelter. They kept moving this puppy who already had the disease from kennel to kennel. Meanwhile they are allowing kids to adopt sick puppies that only end up dying and causing them to be broken hearted when they can avoid it by simply keeping these puppies seperate when they arrive for a couple of weeks before they send them into kennels with other puppies. If my home is infested then so is the animal shelter. Meanwhile I'm out $1,200.00 and my child cries all night, can't concentrate on her task test and school becuase she is so stressed out about her puppy who is fighting for her life. Mangement at the shelter should be questioned.

The Animal Shelter in Laredo Tx... Do not know how to run a animal shelter... I got a dog in the shelter they were going to send me his paper in my mail but they didnt... I call him they didnt want to help so i went by person... To ask for my dog paper but they couldnt find it... I cant belive they lost my dog information... So first think to get a dog in the aniaml shelter... They need to get everybody out there and get new workers that are going to help the animals...
