Good Customer Service while in store, but waiting for a vaccuum hose for a shop vac for many weeks.

Long time customer of the old Pennsauken NJ parts & service center, wary of Sears national I.T. systems. Needed parts of tractor mower deck assembly, called before making the trip to PA. First phone call attempt rang 20 times, no answer. BUT 10 min later got a quick, polite answer. Person on the phone very quickly found parts numbers for several items, physically checked inventory, and set one-only-in-stock parts aside for me at counter! Excellent fast well-informed service. It helps if you have your model and serial numbers when you call.

Why don't they EVER answer their phone. Tried at several times of day and it always just rings 30 times -- no one picks up - no voice mail. The 800 number just keeps sending you back to this number. Weird! I always call the parts centers directly to check stock before I go. Just because the general web directory says a certain part is in a certain location.. doesn't at all make it 'really there'. So I've learned the hard way. But if I can't call -- well......

went there to pick up a vacuum cleaner hose; they told me it would be difficult to replace, but I could probably fix the old, clogged hose; then the wonderful man fixed it for me on the spot, free of charge! I wish I could tell you his name, but what a wonderful person and service! Thanks!
