Lamplight brought me in for two separate interviews for Assistant Center Director. This was a part-time role. The job description included curriculum development and creating student tutoring projects, along with a pay range of $15 - $19 / hour. I interviewed and thought it was a pleasant place, albeit rather disorganized (hence the position opening).

I found a job posting on Indeed and applied to Lamplight's email directly with a resume and cover letter. I was invited for two separate in-person interviews. After these, I received an offer for the position, which I accepted. The following week, Lamplight rescinded their offer because of my scheduling, which I had already been transparent about in two interviews.

Needing additional work, I asked if I could work as a tutor. I received and accepted an offer as a tutor, for $12 / hour. However, to date, I have never yet been paid for my time working here.

When there are no students, tutors are paid an Admin wage of $10. While working under the Admin wage, Lamplight asked me to work on items that were originally included in the Assistant Center Director position (which would have paid up to $19 / hr).

Lamplight manager showed up late twice. When my family member had major back surgery and would not walk for several weeks, I resigned.

To date, I have not received any payment for my hours here. I have emailed Lamplight:

January 29, 8:41am (received response saying they will send check)
March 13, 8:45pm (NO response)
April 14, 10:19am (NO response)
I have also walked-in in the last two weeks and spoken with the Manager.
